’56 Janet (Beyer) Jurgensmier (BS), of Sarasota, Florida, is a retired high school teacher.

’60 Harold “Jock” Seal (BS), of Suamico, retired at the age of 80 as president and former owner of HS Group, a human resources, testing and consulting business established in 1967.

’69 John Shuh (BA), of Ames, Iowa, received the Iowa State University Honorary Alumni Award. He started teaching at the university in 1997 and was named Distinguished Professor in 2003.

’70 Edward Weber (BS), and ’74 (MSE), of Little Chute, and his wife, Ruthie, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Feb. 24.

’71 Suzanne (Walters) Doemel (BS), and ’81 (MSE), of Oshkosh, is in her 47th year of teaching.

’71 Jeff Dworak (BS), of Kewaunee, was added to the Build the Future Foundation Wall of Fame as an outstanding graduate of Kewaunee High School.

’72 Duane Ernst (BS), of Trinity, Texas, has retired to his lake house where he is the captain of his boat and enjoys working in his workshop.

’75 Michelle (Trudeau) Clark (BS), of Meridian, Idaho, retired from the medical technology field. The highlight of her 35-year career was being published twice in Lab Medicine Magazine.

’75 Joseph Harris (BS), of Sea Girt, New Jersey, plans to move to St. Pete Beach, Florida in summer 2018.

’76 Robby Richardson (BS), of Mount Pleasant, is a volunteer chair of the Mount Pleasant Community Development Authority. Richardson has been involved in the Mount Pleasant-based Foxconn manufacturing facility project for the past year.

’79 David Galassie (BBA), of Columbia, South Carolina, has written his second book, Neenah and Menasha: Twin Cities of the Fox Valley. The book shows the history and growth of the two cities as well as picture postcards from his own personal collection.

’79 Sally Wilke (BS), of Winterset, Iowa, is awaiting the August release of Waiting for Good News, a book about support and wisdom when serious illness strikes.

’82 John Parmley (BS), of Crystal Lake, Illinois, has spent over 20 years in the cyber security field. Parmley recently changed roles and is now chief executive officer of an Israeli cyber security company that is expanding into the North American marketplace.

’86 Becky Coel-Roback (BS), of Los Alamos, New Mexico, manages the Off-Site Source Recovery Program that recovers disused sealed radioactive sources in the interest of national security at Los Alamos National Laboratory.

’86 Michael Karns (BFA), of Redding, California, is the owner of Boundary Waters Screen printing. Karns was awarded first place for manual textile screen printing by Impressions Magazine. He has been doing custom art for nearly 30 years.

’86 David Zur (BS) and wife Kathy (Harris) Zur ’86 (BS), of Park City, Utah, started an environmental consulting partnership called DK Environmental.

’87 Teresa Basiliere (BS), of Oshkosh, was named Winnebago County’s newest judge. Basiliere has practiced law locally for 27 years.

’95 Catherine (Schmidt) Williams (BFA), of Necedah, recently had her portraits featured at VIVA Gallery in Viroqua. Williams was one of 24 artists who had their work on display.

’97 Jonathan Nagy (BA), of Indianapolis, Indiana, has been named chief deputy of the Correctional Law Litigation Section in the Indiana Attorney General’s office. Nagy was previously the chief deputy of the Government Litigation Section.

’97 Carol Wedig (BBA), of Kaukauna, is the vice president of continuous improvement at Secura Insurance, where she has worked for more than 16 years.

’02 Tim Lambert (MSE), of Green Bay, is a licensed professional counselor at the Oneida Nation in the behavioral health department. Lambert has authored two books:  If Only I Could Have Said Good-bye and Finding Hope Under a Tree: The MOTIVATED Approach to Coping with Depression.

’04 Katherine “Kayte” Kaminski (BA), of Bozeman, Montana, is an assistant dean at Montana State University. She will graduate with her doctoral degree in adult and higher education administration in May.

’08 Vanessa (Virbitsky) Zink (BA), of Colorado Springs, Colorado, recently returned to Olympic City, and changed communications careers from sports to local government. Zink is a senior communications specialist for the City of Colorado Springs.

’15 Dawn (Price) Myers (BSN), of Appleton, has joined ThedaCare in delivering senior care to patients in nursing homes and assisted living facilities throughout the Fox Valley.

’16 Andrea Ewald (BA), of Glendale, California, is working for Nickelodeon in Los Angeles.

’60 Gordon Rieden (BS), of Crivitz, received the Crivitz Business Association Award for exemplary community contributions. Rieden is a retired superintendent of the Crivitz School District and former consultant for Crivitz Youth Incorporated.

’66 Reid Schoonover (BAE), of Clintonville, is a potter currently represented at several art galleries in the U.S. Schoonover was one of eight potters invited to participate in a Tokkuri Show (Japanese sake bottle) at The Island Gallery in Bainbridge Island, Washington.

’69 Robert Keller (BS), of Kaukauna, received the degree of Doctor of Humane Letters honoris causa at the UW Oshkosh spring commencement.

’70 Hugo Hartig (BM) and ’72 (MST), of Beaverton, Oregon, taught music theory and history at Carroll University for 35 years prior to his retirement in 2011.

’70 Hans-Peter Kohlhoff (BS), of Oshkosh, is a realtor associate broker for Keller Williams Fox Cities.

’73 Leslie Kaschner (BS) and ’75 (MSE), of Scottsdale, Arizona, is a senior consultant for Franklin Covey.

’77 Dawn (Marrier) Auclair (BSN), of Oshkosh, has been named the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel’s 2017 nurse of the year. Auclair has worked 40 years in nursing.

’78 Brian McCarthy (BBA), of Shawnee, Kansas, is an adjunct professor at the University of Kansas.

’81 Brenda (Brookman) Megna (BSN), of Waukesha, is a hyperbaric registered nurse at ProHealth Waukesha Memorial Hospital.

 ’83 Mary Dresser (BS), of Coon Valley, Wyoming, was named office volunteer of the year for the Mississippi Valley Conservancy. Dresser donated more than 400 hours of volunteer time to the conservancy’s land protection team in 2017 and has since been hired as full-time conservation assistant.

 ’83 Brenda Lee (Schuett) Lau (BS), of Venice, California, was inducted into the Oconomowoc High School Wall of Fame for her extensive work writing, directing, producing and collaborating in the television and film industry.

’89 Amy Kienast (BS), of Westland, Michigan, received a master’s degree in technology studies degree from Eastern Michigan University.

’90 Jan (Kohlbeck) Scoville (BS) and ’92 (MSE), of Peshtigo, is the dean of regional learning at Northeast Wisconsin Technical College in Green Bay. She oversees the Marinette and Sturgeon Bay campuses as well as six regional learning centers.

’90 Jon Strupp (BBA), of New Brighton, Minnesota, is the author of King of the Oilers–The Story of the USS Chiwawa AO-68, a book about the fleet oiler helping to tip the balance in the Allies’ favor during World War II.  Strupp is an operations service representative for Wells Fargo Bank.

’90 Paula Verrett (BS) and ’14 (MSW), of Neenah, has worked for the National Alliance on Mental Illness Fox Valley since 2012 and serves as the program director for the organization’s Iris Place Peer Run Respite Center.

 ’90 Pat Zietlow Miller (BS) and ’00 (MS), of Fitchburg, wrote the children’s books Wide-Awake Bear and Be Kind, both published in 2018.

 ’92 Lesley Perry Murphy (BSE), of Janesville, was inducted into the Janesville Sports Hall of Fame. In high school, Perry Murphy was one of the most decorated high school runners in city history and competed in track and field, cross country and basketball.

’94 Jennifer (Pitman) Warner (BA), of San Diego, California, is the senior manager for Sony Electronics in San Diego and is returning to school to earn her MBA.

’95 Paul Secor (BS), of Titusville, Florida, is president of the Titusville Chamber of Commerce.

 ’02 Eric Kiefer (BS), of Glendale, has been plant manager of the North Shore Water Commission since 2007.

 ’03 Britnie (Koranda) Rewey (BBA), of Tomah, is the honorary chairperson for this year’s Tomah Area Cancer Support Cancer 5K. Rewey, a cancer survivor, has worked for 11 years at Tomah Memorial Hospital as a human resource generalist.

 ’04 Jeffery Cram (BS), of Tomah, was appointed District 3 representative for the city of Tomah. He works in IT at Meca Sportswear.

’05 Clint Carlson (BS), of Watertown, moved to Istanbul, Turkey. Carlson teaches Digital Design 1 and Digital Design 2 at Istanbul International Community School, courses that teach media literacy and skills to promote altruism and humanitarian work through the latest technological advancements.

’05 Jonathan Wos (BFA), of Oshkosh, was the guest speaker at the Trailways All-Conference Art Show at Johnson Creek High School. Wos is the owner of Wos Art.

’06 Sarah (Kieper) Garvey (BS) and ’07 Michael Garvey (BS), of Fond du Lac, welcomed their second daughter, Allison, in February.

’08 Alexander Konen (BSE), of Shawano, appeared in the play “Church Basement Ladies” at the Mielke Arts Center in Shawano. Konen teaches English, speech and theater courses at Shawano Community High School. He is also a track coach.

’08 Melissa (Mader) Sell (BSW), of Oshkosh, married Stuart Sell in November 2017. Melissa is a social worker for Winnebago County.

’09 Matthew Franson (BA), of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, is an associate with Ward Greenberg Heller and Reidy LLP.

’10 Alex Abendschein (BA), of Manhattan, Kansas, is the new marketing manager for Sodexo at Marquette University in Milwaukee.

’10 Anne Niederkorn (MBA), of Ripon, published her first book, Small Town Girl… Livin’ in an 80s World: The Life and Times of a Polish Catholic Kid.

’10 Garret Pelischek (BS), of Menasha, has been hired as a talent acquisition specialist at Wells Fargo Advisors in Appleton.

’11 Abbie Woodruff (BS), of Sacramento, California, graduated from Arizona State University with a master’s in urban and environmental planning. She works for CDM Smith as a water resources planner doing environmental impact statements and reports.

’12 Crystal (Dziadosz) Brown (BFA), of Cudahy, is a bakery supervisor at Walmart in Muskego.

’12 Chad Piwoni (BS), of Kewaskum, is a representative for Port Washington State Bank. He also is the president and coach for the Kewaskum Gridiron Youth Football Club.

’12 Amy Richards (BA), of Washington D.C., graduated with a master’s in public policy from Georgetown University, where she works as a multimedia specialist.

’14 Cymone (Jones) Cowling (BS), of Neenah, finished a master’s from Lakeland University with a 4.0 grade-point average. Cowling is a school counselor at Maplewood Middle School in Menasha.

’14 Joshua Klug (BAS), of Merrill, is the new Merrill Fire Chief. He is an 11-year veteran of the Merrill Fire Department.

’15 Tracy (Warren) Miller (BSN), of Fond du Lac, married Eric Miller on March 23. She is an emergency preparedness and trauma program coordinator at Aurora Medical Center in Oshkosh.

’15 Kurt Wondra (MBA), of Greenville, business analyst II at Skyline Technologies, presented “Beyond the Techniques: Tools to Get Stuff Done” as a session speaker for the 11th-annual Wisconsin Business Analyst Development Day conference in May.

’16 Charles Nelson (BS), of Green Bay, joined the Shiocton Police Department as an officer.

’17 Brett Baehman (BS), of Oshkosh, is an editorial assistant for The Fond du Lac Reporter and the Oshkosh Northwestern. He also is the head middle school football coach at Lourdes Academy in Oshkosh.

’17 Kayla Berg (BS), of Gilbert, Minnesota, is the planner for Arrowhead Economic Opportunity Agency, one of the largest nonprofit organizations in Minnesota.

’59 Annette (Matthias) Andropolis (BS), of Sturgeon Bay, has owned the Andropolis Cottages in Door County for 50 years.

’64 Marie (Schnitzler) Peterson (BME), of Escanaba, Michigan, retired as music director at her local parish in 2005 but returned as a pianist in 2017. Peterson and her husband, George, celebrated their 53rd anniversary.

’68 Judith (Dahlke) Urbanek (BS), of Wausau, is a private French tutor for the Institute of Christ the King at St. Mary’s Oratory. Urbanek teaches French to priesthood candidates attending a French-speaking seminary.

’68 Robert Steidl (BBA), of Waupaca, joined the sales team at United Country Real Estate/ Udoni and Salan Realty Group. Steidl has 40 years of real estate experience.

’69 Jan (Graham) Koch (BS), of Shawano, is the cochair of the Shawano Area Women’s Network. Koch is a former classroom teacher and reading specialist.

’70 Theodore Mainella (BS), of Franklin, retired from Mukwonago Area Schools in 2002, where he served as technology coordinator. Mainella is an adjunct professor at the University of North Dakota and a certified flight instructor.

’71 Tom Boyson (BBA), of Oshkosh, is in the process of moving his five radio stations’ headquarters to Radio Road in Ripon. Boyson and his wife, JoAnn, have been married for 41 years.

’71 Dennis Jones (BS), of Oshkosh, works for FEMA as an environmental and historic preservation reservist. Jones is frequently deployed to weather-related disasters.

’74 Margaret (Kutz) Dewey (BA), of Fort Wayne, Indiana, retired after working at Mable K. Holland Elementary School for 28 years.

’78 Ret. LTC Joe McGrath (BS), of Waupaca, was the keynote speaker at the Clintonville Memorial Day observance ceremony at Graceland Cemetery. McGrath served in the military for 35 years.

’79 Joseph Kaufmann (BBA) and ’85 Judith (Zimmer) Kaufmann (BSN), of Greenville, are enjoying their four grandchildren. Joe retired as president and CEO of Industrial Engraving.

’79 Jill (Vanderschaaf) Curry (BS), of Horicon, retired from a 35-year teaching career at Van Brunt Elementary School. Curry and her husband have three adult children and four grandchildren.

’84 Joye Moon (BFA), of Oshkosh, has had her paintings accepted into several national and international exhibits, including the International Exhibit with the Transparent Watercolor Society of America in Kenosha. Moon also will exhibit in China and with the Louisiana Watercolor Society in New Orleans, Louisiana, among other locations.

’85 Jeff Heinzen (BS), of Manitowoc, is the president and principal consultant of Quality Systems Associates Inc. Heinzen founded the company in 1993.

’87 Peter Baye (BS), of Cedarburg, is an emergency physician at Aurora Health Care Urgent Care in Kohler. Baye practiced at Emergency Medicine Specialists in Milwaukee for 24 years.

’88 Ted Wahoske (BBA), of Langley Air Force Base, Virginia, is a colonel in the U.S. Air Force.

’89 Susan (Pollard) Baganz (BS), of Fond du Lac, authored Donuts & Detours, a contemporary inspirational romance. Baganz plans to release four more titles this year.

’90 Ann Kunkle-Jones (BS), of Oshkosh, is a senior academic adviser at UWO. Jones attended the Civil War Institute and continues research in that area.

’92 Pam Ruder (MBA), of Oshkosh, is the director of Greater Oshkosh Healthy Neighborhoods Inc., a nonprofit organization that works with the city to revitalize and develop neighborhoods.

’93 Sharon (Linser) Johnson (BS), of Combined Locks, is CEO of the Stevens Point Area YMCA. Johnson was formerly the executive director of the Heart of the Valley YMCA in Kimberly.

’95 Julie Newhouse (MBA), of Appleton, is president of Ripon Printers. Newhouse has 30 years of experience in the graphic arts industry.

’97 Tamara (Keenlance) Schattschneider (BSN), of Ripon, is vice president of patient services and chief nursing officer at St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac.

’00 Angela (Campbell) Sorg (BSN), of Spring Green, is an advanced practice nurse practitioner (APNP) at Mineral Point Medical Center.

’02 Shawn Robinson (BS), of Madison, is the coauthor of Doctor Dyslexia Dude!, a story about an African American boy who is a superhero with dyslexia. Robinson will be a panelist at DyslexiaCon18 in October.

’03 David Hodorff (BBA), of Malone, is the new chief operating officer at W.M. Sprinkman Corporation in Waukesha.

’03 Maj. Brian Krieck (BS), of Suamico, is the executive officer for the 432nd Civil Affairs Battalion (Airborne) in Green Bay. Krieck and his wife, Alexis, have three children.

’07 Martine D’Amour (BBA), of Leesburg, Virginia, was a guest speaker in the sales emphasis class on the UW Oshkosh campus. D’Amour is a key account manager with Diversey Inc.

’11 Adam Mand (BS), of Madison, is a trust officer at U.S. Bank Private Wealth Management.

’67 Franklin Giebel (BS), of Neshkoro, retired after 15 years as pastor at Zion Lutheran Church in Neshkoro. Giebel and his wife, Susan, will reside in Wausau.

’68 Kathryn (Harkins) Breitzman (BS), of Kaukauna, is the Kaukauna School District’s school board president.

’70 Michael Tomczyk (BA), of Phoenixville, Pennsylvania, spoke at the Delaware Innovation Space & Atlanta Vintage Computing festival. Tomczyk is writing books and professionally speaking in his retirement.

’72 Shirley Lucas (BAE) and ’74 (MST), of Oshkosh, is retired after 25 years with the Oshkosh Area School District. Lucas is an award-winning artist in watercolors, alcohol inks and mixed media. Some of her recent works are displayed at Evergreen Manor.

’73 Richard Adam (BS), of Madison, is substitute teaching autistic children in the Madison elementary schools, officiating high school sports and enjoying time spent with his 4-year-old granddaughter in his retirement.

’73 Wayne Zweig (BS), of Oshkosh, retired from EastBay in 2017 and currently works part-time for Goodwill Industries.

’74 Paulette (Engeldinger) Neuser (BS) and ’77 (MS), of Two Rivers, retired after 22 years as librarian in the Valders Area School District.

’75 Tom Taraska (BS), of Brookfield, will be inducted into the National High School Athletic Coaches Association’s Hall of Fame. Taraska was a 29-year coach at Arrowhead High School, winning four Division 1 State Championships and five second place finishes. His overall record at Arrowhead was 248-76.

’75 David Traczyk (BBA), of Hurley, was honored with a Distinguished Alumni and Friends Award from the Hurley Education Foundation. Traczyk, a certified public accountant, opened his own firm in downtown Hurley in 1978.

’76 Ronald Kading (BS), of Potosi, is retiring after 41 years as head baseball coach at Potosi High School. Kading ends his coaching career with the sixth best winning percentage in the history of Wisconsin spring baseball coaches.

’77 Mark Luttenberger (BS) and ’80 (MA), of Fond du Lac, is the author of From Darius I to Philip II: The Story of Greek Poleis. The book covers the classical age of Greece from 500 to 336 B.C.

’78 George Kerwin (MBA), of De Pere, will retire after 26 years as Bellin Health System’s president and chief executive officer. Kerwin joined Bellin 47 years ago as the housekeeping and laundry manager.

’80 Bruce Dittmer (BBA), of Oceanside, California, is an independent senior consultant with DMP Consulting. Dittmer has 35 years’ experience in financial analysis, budgeting and forecasting, reporting compliance, auditing and cash management.

’87 Susan (Paral) Hatrzheim (BS), of Minocqua, completed a master’s degree in school counseling. Hartzheim is a 4K-3rd grade counselor at Lac du Flambeau Public School.

’90 Lisa Tieglman-Koepp (BS) and ’93 (MSE), of West Bend, is a licensed professional counselor with the State of Wisconsin. She earned the Certified Eating Disorder Specialist (CEDS) designation. She works for the Northshore Clinic and Consultants in West Bend and the Eating Disorders Services at Aurora Psychiatric Hospital in Wauwatosa.

’90 Trevy McDonald (BA), of Durham, North Carolina, is the first African American woman to be tenured in the UNC-Chapel Hill School of Media and Journalism. McDonald was promoted to associate professor with tenure in January. She has published two novels, Time Will Tell in 1999 and the 2018 sequel, Round ‘Bout Midnight.

’91 Ann (Schwarz) Bohn (BS), of Fond du Lac, has taught 22 years in the inner city of Milwaukee. Bohn formerly worked in law enforcement.

’91 Jodi (Thurow) Koch (BSN), of Green Bay, does clinical research with cancer patients at St. Vincent Hospital.

’91 Tom Schmitt (BSE), of Columbus, retired after 16 years as Middleton High School’s baseball manager. Schmitt led Middleton to state seven times in 16 years, including winning the 2003 state title.

’92 Cindy Alix (BS), of Golden, Colorado, is the manager at #Vybe, a bar in Denver.

’93 Brenda Cowan (BSN), of Houston, Texas, received a doctorate in nursing practice from the Cizik School of Nursing at University of Houston Health Science Center.

’93 Scott Davis (BS), of Rochester, Minnesota, is a senior Society of Quality Assurance and business analyst at Pearson VUE.

’94 Connie (Scott) Hynnek (MSE), of Markesan, will return to teaching second grade after 12 years as the Markesan Elementary School principal.

’95 Steven Hill (BSE), of Jackson, former middle school principal in Fond du Lac, is the new Waupun Area School District superintendent.

’95 Ronda (Black) Hitz (BSW), of Oshkosh, received a certificate for 20 years of state service. Hitz received honorable mention for the 2017 Virginia Hart Special Recognition Award for outstanding achievement in public service.

’95 Brenda (Biskobing) Johnson (BS), of Appleton, is branch executive director at the Heart of the Valley YMCA. She has worked at the Y since 1995.

’95 Tracey (Marohn) Miller (BSE) and ’00 (MS), of Omro, celebrated 20 years of teaching at Omro High School.

’97 Peter Boettcher (BSE), of Reedsburg, was honored by the Adams-Friendship High School students when they dedicated the yearbook to him. Boettcher is the director of the Global Opportunities for Alternative Learning (GOAL) Academy, which provides supplemental online learning opportunities.

’97 Kim (Newport) Everson (BA), of Van Dyne, returned to UW-Fond du Lac and UW Oshkosh in pursuit of a career in veterinary medicine after earning a prior degree in English at UWO. Everson is now a doctor of veterinary medicine and owner of St. Bernard’s Animal Medical Center, located between Oshkosh and Fond du Lac.

’97 Paula Hella (BS) and ’05 (MSE), of Green Bay, is the 2018 winner of the Wisconsin Association of Family and Consumer Sciences (WEAFCS) Team Effort Award. She is a family living educator with UW Extension.

’98 Brenda Balthazor (BS), of Wittenberg, received the Distinguished Fellow title from the American Academy of Physician Assistants, a national recognition of excellence in service to patients, community and students. Balthazor is a physician assistant at the Aspirus Birnamwood Clinic.

’98 Denise Parrish (BSN) and ’09 (MSN), of Omro, is chief administrative officer at Ascension Mercy Hospital.

’98 Mike Waters (BBA) and ’13 (MBA), of Greenville, was named market president for the soon-to-open Settlers bank in Appleton. Waters is a 20-year veteran banker in the Appleton community.

’00 Fr. Peter Renard (MBA), of De Pere, celebrated his 50th priesthood ordination anniversary in June.

’00 Kelly (Heier) Votava (BSE), of Green Bay, is a teacher at Bayshore Community Academy, a public charter school in Oconto.

’02 Eric Brunsell (MS), of Appleton, is an associate dean in the UW Oshkosh College of Education and Human Services. Brunsell has been a UWO faculty member for 10 years.

’04 Kristine “Kat” Anderson (BA), of Chicago, Illinois, participated in the second Biennial Early Modern Clothing Conference in Jamestown, Virginia, where she participated in workshops with well-known designers.

’04 Kayte Kaminski (BA), of Bozeman, Montana, earned a doctorate in adult and higher education administration in May. Kaminski is assistant dean and director of student success at Montana State University.

’04 Sarah (Pollesch) Olson (BSN) and ’11 (MSN), of Van Dyne, is teaching in the UWO College of Nursing.

’05 Samantha (Hurckman) Laughlin (BS), of Portage, is a sergeant at the Dodge County Jail. Laughlin has a 12-year career as a corrections officer.

’05 Kimberly Vlies (BA) and (BFA), of Green Bay, had her design selected for Artstreet 2018 promotional materials. Vlies is a digital marketing specialist for the UW-Green Bay office of marketing and university communication.

’07 Jennifer (Raeder) Noster (BSE), of Plymouth, will start her 12th year of teaching as a special education teacher in the Plymouth School District’s Fairview Elementary School.

’09 Nicholas Brock (MSE), of Clintonville, is the associate middle school principal in the Clintonville Public School District where he has taught special education for 10 years.

’10 Kim Krejcarek (BA), of Green Bay, received the WLUK-TV Fox 11/WCWF-TV Employee of the Month Award. Krejcarek produced a 30-minute television special entitled What I’ve Learned: The Best of the Class of 2018, featuring 427 honor seniors from more than 100 area high schools.

’10 Matt Wavrunek (BBA), of Denmark, is an insurance adviser with Associates Insurance Agency Ltd.

’12 Jason Breaker (BSE), of Tigerton, is the Markesan Elementary School principal.

’12 Angela Paddock (BS), of Waukesha, is a registered nurse at Aurora St. Luke’s Medical Center after graduating with a bachelor’s degree in nursing in May.

’13 Travis Adams (BS), of Weston, is a clinical athletic trainer for Marshfield Clinic Health Systems. Adams and his wife, Alyssa, have three children.

’13 Sara (Tolley) Bertram (BLS), of Fond du Lac, is a trade classification analyst at Plexus. Bertram and her husband raise 250 head of cattle and farm 600 acres of cash crops.

’13 Tyler Egnarski (BA), of Milwaukee, is a broadcast engineer for Weigel Broadcasting, CBS 58. Egnarski has advocated for the use of drones in news gathering.

’13 Braden Frederickson (BSE), of Oshkosh, teaches in the Oshkosh Area School District. Frederickson has a graduate degree from Michigan State University.

’13 Alaina Landi (BA), of Milwaukee, was awarded a Fulbright U.S. Student Grant to allow her to travel to Columbia to support those learning English.

’13 Tyler Morey (MBA), of Minneapolis, Minnesota, is upper Midwest sales manager for Implus Footcare LLC. Morey and his wife, Melissa, relocated from South Carolina.

’13 Michael Wright (BS), of Fond du Lac, is a civil engineering designer/drafter at McMahon Group in Neenah.

’14 Sarah Grotegut (BSN), of Dallas, Texas, is a school nurse for the Dallas Independent School District. Grotegut and her husband, Eric, are expecting their first child.

’14 Tanya Schmidt (MSE), of Appleton, is a clinical mental health coordinator at Northwest Counseling & Guidance Clinic. Schmidt recently moved back to the Fox Valley after living four years in Arkansas.

’14 Lucas Suthers (BSN), of Monroe, is a family nurse practitioner at Memorial Hospital of Lafayette County. Suthers earned a master’s degree in nursing from Walden University in 2017.

’15 Amanda Felle (BS), of Davenport, Florida, is a client services coordinator with the Walt Disney Company.

’15 Thomas Figueroa (BBA), of Oconomowoc, is an account manager at the Crisis Prevention Institute in Milwaukee.

The following Class Notes were received recently in the UW Oshkosh Alumni Office.

’64 Jerry Gonyo (BS), of Bloomington, Indiana, is the former UWO Arizona Alumni Chapter leader. Gonyo helped host an alumni reception prior to a Brewer spring training game in Phoenix, Arizona, in March. He is planning to start an alumni chapter in the greater Bloomington, Indiana area.

’64 Mary Anne (Gaynor) Hill (BS) and ’71 (MSE), of Oneida, walked the Camino de Santiago pilgrimage across northern Spain with her daughter, Megan, to celebrate her 75th birthday.

’66 Gerald Whitburn (BS), of Wausau, was reappointed to the University of Wisconsin Board of Regents. Whitburn is a retired chief executive officer of Church Mutual Insurance Co. 

’68 Kenneth Zettel (BBA), of Tucson, Arizona, is active in his business, Auto Driveaway, at 76 years old.

’71 Lyle Wink (BS), of High View, West Virginia, enjoyed a distinguished career including numerous Federal Aviation Administration management positions, such as FAA Aviation safety inspector, United States member of the International Civil Aviation Organization Operations Panel and FAA Airspace Systems inspection pilot.

’72 Alan Mollerskov (BS), of Mount Pleasant, is celebrating a 45-year career with the Union Grove School District.

’76 James Benson (MSE), of Viroqua, a Marine veteran, went on the Freedom Honor Flight from La Crosse to Washington D.C. with his nephew, Brian Belot. Benson was employed by the Department of Defense and the U.S. Air Force as an education counselor through 1995.

’78 Sally (Frohman) Sroka (BS), of Wautoma, recently retired from the Waushara County Sheriff’s Office after 20 years as a 911 cispatcher and almost 12 years as a 911 supervisor.

’81 Donald Fass (BS), of Fort Atkinson, retired from the Madison Fire Department after 23 years of service as a firefighter/EMT.

’81 Michael Murphy (BBA), of Abilene, Texas, is the Abilene Regional Medical Center chief executive officer.  He has been in hospital administration for over 30 years. 

’85 Mary Booker (MS), of Pine River, received the Wisconsin Council for Exceptional Children’s Clarissa Hug Teacher of the Year Award. Booker is a speech and language pathologist, an innovator with the Early Childhood Program and the leader of the Autism Effectiveness Team in the Weyauwega-Fremont School District.

’86 Sandie Brick-Margelofsky (BS), of Dodgeville, is a senior development officer in the UW-Platteville College of Business, Industry, Life Sciences and Agriculture. Brick-Margelofsky created the UW-Platteville’s Center for Gender and Sexuality and LGBTQ and developed the Veteran Center and Non-Traditional Student Center.

’86 Anthony Ungerer (BS), of Merrill, earned a master’s degree in management at Cardinal Stritch University in 2011. Ungerer operates a FISH Window Cleaning franchise in central Wisconsin. He has three children.

’89 Craig Zastrow (BSN), and ’04 (MSN), of Wausau, is a new clinician at Ascension Medical Group Tomahawk Clinic. He enjoys spending time with his wife and two sons. 

’92 Tamara (Cook) Dever (BFA), of Austin, Texas, is celebrating 20 years at TLC Graphics, now TLC Book Designs. The company previously created designs for the UW Oshkosh TV station and Taylor Hall.

’93 Lisa (Wolfgram) Philipp (BFA), of Oshkosh, has worked for RR Donnelley, a Fortune 500 integrated communications company, for over 20 years. Philipp works on baby wipe packages, disinfecting wipe labels and various other label and bag designs.

’97 Troy Schoultz (BS), of Oshkosh, is a poet and lecturer at UW-Fox Valley and Fox Valley Technical College. Schoultz also is the editor of Fox Cry Review. He held a poetry reading for the Original Voice at the Coloma Hotel in March.

’99 Michael Frohna (MPA), of Sussex, is the president of Junior Achievement of Wisconsin.

’99 Tammy (Tank) Huebner (BSN), of Shawano, has been a surgical nurse with ThedaCare Medical Center-Shawano for 20 years. Huebner created Wee Care Food Pack at Zion Lutheran Church, a program to provide food to families and children in need. She and Paul Huebner have been married 16 years and have three children.

’99 Jason Schreiber (BSE), Of Oconomowoc, a former Titan basketball player, hailed from Kickapoo High School in Viola. Schreiber is in his 10th year as principal at Oconomowoc’s Meadow View School

’01 Tim Cleary (BBA), of Middleton, is the executive vice president and partner at Ideal Builders. Cleary has over 14 years experience in the construction and real estate industry as a business adviser to firms throughout the Midwest.

’02 Blake Buchan (BS), of Brookfield, is an assistant professor in the Department of Pathology and associate director of clinical microbiology and molecular diagnostics at the Medical College of Wisconsin. ’02 Shawn Robinson (BS), of Madison, was recently appointed to the International Dyslexia Association’s National Board of Directors.

’04 Alison (Cesnorar) Fett (BA) and ’07 (MS), of Oshkosh, started Tashi Deley, a talent development consulting firm in Oshkosh. Fett is the former assistant vice president of talent development at Verve, a Credit Union.

’04 Todd Schroeder (MBA), of Stevens Point, is a member of the Portage County Business Council’s board of directors.

’05 Paul Orlich (MSE), of Green Bay, is the Mishicot School District superintendent and high school principal. Previous to this appointment, Orlich served as high school principal and director of instruction for the district. He is a retired combat veteran of the 101st Airborne Division.

’05 Amie (Schaenzer) Rowland (BA), of Algonquin, Illinois, is an editor for Patch.com.

’09 Brandon Kirkland (BSE), of Neenah, has been the childcare services coordinator at the Neenah-Menasha YMCA for five years.

’09 Bethany Lerch (BA), of Oshkosh, traveled to India with 11 professional counseling peers in January. She is an independent writer and founder of “able to.”

’12 Christian Hess (MBA), of Appleton, has been named president and chief executive officer of Goodwill Industries of North Central Wisconsin. Hess was formerly vice president of market development and sales for ThedaCare.

’12 Jared Sanchez (BBA), of Oshkosh, and his wife, Samantha, welcomed their first child in August.

’13 Tracy Goetsch (BSE), of Aga, Japan, is teaching English as a foreign language to junior high and high school students at three schools in Japan. She enjoys sharing her culture and learning the students’ culture.

’13 Trent Henning (BS), of Monroe, is the executive director of the Green County Family YMCA. Henning has nine years of experience working with youth programs, coaching and building partnerships.

’13 Adam Wolf (BA), of Washington, D.C., currently works for Alliance for Peacebuilding, a civil society membership organization that brings together coalitions that advocate for peace-centered policies in the United States diplomacy, the United Nations, and throughout the world. Wolf also volunteers at several Model United Nations conferences.

 

’14 Briana (Agnello) Mermall (BA), of Menasha, married fellow alumnus Evan Mermall ’14 (BBA), in December. They met at UW Oshkosh.

’15 Anthony Snyder (MBA), of Appleton, is the president of the Appleton-Fox Cities Kiwanis Foundation. He also serves as the chief executive officer of the Fox Valley Workforce Development Board.

’17 Rachel Elliott (BS), of Brookfield, has joined PAK-RITE, Ltd., a manufacturing company and industry leader in the design and manufacture of custom containers for the medical and aerospace markets in Milwaukee. Elliott works in the company’s e-commerce division and will assist in a variety of marketing initiatives.

 ’17 Chris Meuer (BS), of Chilton, is the new recycling and hazardous waste coordinator for Calumet County. Meuer interned with the department last year as a UW Oshkosh environmental studies student.

 ’17 Rachel Roloff (BS), of Oshkosh, is a human resources specialist at VF Outdoor, an outdoor apparel manufacturing company. She is working towards her master’s degree in organizational change with an emphasis in human resources management.

’56 Janet (Beyer) Jurgensmier (BS), of Sarasota, Florida, is a retired high school teacher.

’60 Harold “Jock” Seal (BS), of Suamico, retired at the age of 80 as president and former owner of HS Group, a human resources, testing and consulting business established in 1967.

’69 John Shuh (BA), of Ames, Iowa, received the Iowa State University Honorary Alumni Award. He started teaching at the university in 1997 and was named Distinguished Professor in 2003.

’70 Edward Weber (BS), and ’74 (MSE), of Little Chute, and his wife, Ruthie, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Feb. 24.

’71 Suzanne (Walters) Doemel (BS), and ’81 (MSE), of Oshkosh, is in her 47th year of teaching.

’71 Jeff Dworak (BS), of Kewaunee, was added to the Build the Future Foundation Wall of Fame as an outstanding graduate of Kewaunee High School.

’72 Duane Ernst (BS), of Trinity, Texas, has retired to his lake house where he is the captain of his boat and enjoys working in his workshop.

’75 Michelle (Trudeau) Clark (BS), of Meridian, Idaho, retired from the medical technology field. The highlight of her 35-year career was being published twice in Lab Medicine Magazine.

’75 Joseph Harris (BS), of Sea Girt, New Jersey, plans to move to St. Pete Beach, Florida in summer 2018.

’76 Robby Richardson (BS), of Mount Pleasant, is a volunteer chair of the Mount Pleasant Community Development Authority. Richardson has been involved in the Mount Pleasant-based Foxconn manufacturing facility project for the past year.

’79 David Galassie (BBA), of Columbia, South Carolina, has written his second book, Neenah and Menasha: Twin Cities of the Fox Valley. The book shows the history and growth of the two cities as well as picture postcards from his own personal collection.

’79 Sally Wilke (BS), of Winterset, Iowa, is awaiting the August release of Waiting for Good News, a book about support and wisdom when serious illness strikes.

’82 John Parmley (BS), of Crystal Lake, Illinois, has spent over 20 years in the cyber security field. Parmley recently changed roles and is now chief executive officer of an Israeli cyber security company that is expanding into the North American marketplace.

’86 Becky Coel-Roback (BS), of Los Alamos, New Mexico, manages the Off-Site Source Recovery Program that recovers disused sealed radioactive sources in the interest of national security at Los Alamos National Laboratory.

’86 Michael Karns (BFA), of Redding, California, is the owner of Boundary Waters Screen printing. Karns was awarded first place for manual textile screen printing by Impressions Magazine. He has been doing custom art for nearly 30 years.

’86 David Zur (BS) and wife Kathy (Harris) Zur ’86 (BS), of Park City, Utah, started an environmental consulting partnership called DK Environmental.

’87 Teresa Basiliere (BS), of Oshkosh, was named Winnebago County’s newest judge. Basiliere has practiced law locally for 27 years.

’95 Catherine (Schmidt) Williams (BFA), of Necedah, recently had her portraits featured at VIVA Gallery in Viroqua. Williams was one of 24 artists who had their work on display.

’97 Jonathan Nagy (BA), of Indianapolis, Indiana, has been named chief deputy of the Correctional Law Litigation Section in the Indiana Attorney General’s office. Nagy was previously the chief deputy of the Government Litigation Section.

’97 Carol Wedig (BBA), of Kaukauna, is the vice president of continuous improvement at Secura Insurance, where she has worked for more than 16 years.

’02 Tim Lambert (MSE), of Green Bay, is a licensed professional counselor at the Oneida Nation in the behavioral health department. Lambert has authored two books:  If Only I Could Have Said Good-bye and Finding Hope Under a Tree: The MOTIVATED Approach to Coping with Depression.

’04 Katherine “Kayte” Kaminski (BA), of Bozeman, Montana, is an assistant dean at Montana State University. She will graduate with her doctoral degree in adult and higher education administration in May.

’08 Vanessa (Virbitsky) Zink (BA), of Colorado Springs, Colorado, recently returned to Olympic City, and changed communications careers from sports to local government. Zink is a senior communications specialist for the City of Colorado Springs.

’15 Dawn (Price) Myers (BSN), of Appleton, has joined ThedaCare in delivering senior care to patients in nursing homes and assisted living facilities throughout the Fox Valley.

’16 Andrea Ewald (BA), of Glendale, California, is working for Nickelodeon in Los Angeles.

’60 Gordon Rieden (BS), of Crivitz, received the Crivitz Business Association Award for exemplary community contributions. Rieden is a retired superintendent of the Crivitz School District and former consultant for Crivitz Youth Incorporated.

’66 Reid Schoonover (BAE), of Clintonville, is a potter currently represented at several art galleries in the U.S. Schoonover was one of eight potters invited to participate in a Tokkuri Show (Japanese sake bottle) at The Island Gallery in Bainbridge Island, Washington.

’69 Robert Keller (BS), of Kaukauna, received the degree of Doctor of Humane Letters honoris causa at the UW Oshkosh spring commencement.

’70 Hugo Hartig (BM) and ’72 (MST), of Beaverton, Oregon, taught music theory and history at Carroll University for 35 years prior to his retirement in 2011.

’70 Hans-Peter Kohlhoff (BS), of Oshkosh, is a realtor associate broker for Keller Williams Fox Cities.

’73 Leslie Kaschner (BS) and ’75 (MSE), of Scottsdale, Arizona, is a senior consultant for Franklin Covey.

’77 Dawn (Marrier) Auclair (BSN), of Oshkosh, has been named the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel’s 2017 nurse of the year. Auclair has worked 40 years in nursing.

’78 Brian McCarthy (BBA), of Shawnee, Kansas, is an adjunct professor at the University of Kansas.

’81 Brenda (Brookman) Megna (BSN), of Waukesha, is a hyperbaric registered nurse at ProHealth Waukesha Memorial Hospital.

 ’83 Mary Dresser (BS), of Coon Valley, Wyoming, was named office volunteer of the year for the Mississippi Valley Conservancy. Dresser donated more than 400 hours of volunteer time to the conservancy’s land protection team in 2017 and has since been hired as full-time conservation assistant.

 ’83 Brenda Lee (Schuett) Lau (BS), of Venice, California, was inducted into the Oconomowoc High School Wall of Fame for her extensive work writing, directing, producing and collaborating in the television and film industry.

’89 Amy Kienast (BS), of Westland, Michigan, received a master’s degree in technology studies degree from Eastern Michigan University.

’90 Jan (Kohlbeck) Scoville (BS) and ’92 (MSE), of Peshtigo, is the dean of regional learning at Northeast Wisconsin Technical College in Green Bay. She oversees the Marinette and Sturgeon Bay campuses as well as six regional learning centers.

’90 Jon Strupp (BBA), of New Brighton, Minnesota, is the author of King of the Oilers–The Story of the USS Chiwawa AO-68, a book about the fleet oiler helping to tip the balance in the Allies’ favor during World War II.  Strupp is an operations service representative for Wells Fargo Bank.

’90 Paula Verrett (BS) and ’14 (MSW), of Neenah, has worked for the National Alliance on Mental Illness Fox Valley since 2012 and serves as the program director for the organization’s Iris Place Peer Run Respite Center.

 ’90 Pat Zietlow Miller (BS) and ’00 (MS), of Fitchburg, wrote the children’s books Wide-Awake Bear and Be Kind, both published in 2018.

 ’92 Lesley Perry Murphy (BSE), of Janesville, was inducted into the Janesville Sports Hall of Fame. In high school, Perry Murphy was one of the most decorated high school runners in city history and competed in track and field, cross country and basketball.

’94 Jennifer (Pitman) Warner (BA), of San Diego, California, is the senior manager for Sony Electronics in San Diego and is returning to school to earn her MBA.

’95 Paul Secor (BS), of Titusville, Florida, is president of the Titusville Chamber of Commerce.

 ’02 Eric Kiefer (BS), of Glendale, has been plant manager of the North Shore Water Commission since 2007.

 ’03 Britnie (Koranda) Rewey (BBA), of Tomah, is the honorary chairperson for this year’s Tomah Area Cancer Support Cancer 5K. Rewey, a cancer survivor, has worked for 11 years at Tomah Memorial Hospital as a human resource generalist.

 ’04 Jeffery Cram (BS), of Tomah, was appointed District 3 representative for the city of Tomah. He works in IT at Meca Sportswear.

’05 Clint Carlson (BS), of Watertown, moved to Istanbul, Turkey. Carlson teaches Digital Design 1 and Digital Design 2 at Istanbul International Community School, courses that teach media literacy and skills to promote altruism and humanitarian work through the latest technological advancements.

’05 Jonathan Wos (BFA), of Oshkosh, was the guest speaker at the Trailways All-Conference Art Show at Johnson Creek High School. Wos is the owner of Wos Art.

’06 Sarah (Kieper) Garvey (BS) and ’07 Michael Garvey (BS), of Fond du Lac, welcomed their second daughter, Allison, in February.

’08 Alexander Konen (BSE), of Shawano, appeared in the play “Church Basement Ladies” at the Mielke Arts Center in Shawano. Konen teaches English, speech and theater courses at Shawano Community High School. He is also a track coach.

’08 Melissa (Mader) Sell (BSW), of Oshkosh, married Stuart Sell in November 2017. Melissa is a social worker for Winnebago County.

’09 Matthew Franson (BA), of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, is an associate with Ward Greenberg Heller and Reidy LLP.

’10 Alex Abendschein (BA), of Manhattan, Kansas, is the new marketing manager for Sodexo at Marquette University in Milwaukee.

’10 Anne Niederkorn (MBA), of Ripon, published her first book, Small Town Girl… Livin’ in an 80s World: The Life and Times of a Polish Catholic Kid.

’10 Garret Pelischek (BS), of Menasha, has been hired as a talent acquisition specialist at Wells Fargo Advisors in Appleton.

’11 Abbie Woodruff (BS), of Sacramento, California, graduated from Arizona State University with a master’s in urban and environmental planning. She works for CDM Smith as a water resources planner doing environmental impact statements and reports.

’12 Crystal (Dziadosz) Brown (BFA), of Cudahy, is a bakery supervisor at Walmart in Muskego.

’12 Chad Piwoni (BS), of Kewaskum, is a representative for Port Washington State Bank. He also is the president and coach for the Kewaskum Gridiron Youth Football Club.

’12 Amy Richards (BA), of Washington D.C., graduated with a master’s in public policy from Georgetown University, where she works as a multimedia specialist.

’14 Cymone (Jones) Cowling (BS), of Neenah, finished a master’s from Lakeland University with a 4.0 grade-point average. Cowling is a school counselor at Maplewood Middle School in Menasha.

’14 Joshua Klug (BAS), of Merrill, is the new Merrill Fire Chief. He is an 11-year veteran of the Merrill Fire Department.

’64 Marie (Schnitzler) Peterson (BME), of Escanaba, Michigan, retired as music director at her local parish in 2005 but returned as a pianist in 2017. Peterson and her husband, George, celebrated their 53rd anniversary.

’68 Judith (Dahlke) Urbanek (BS), of Wausau, is a private French tutor for the Institute of Christ the King at St. Mary’s Oratory. Urbanek teaches French to priesthood candidates attending a French-speaking seminary.

’68 Robert Steidl (BBA), of Waupaca, joined the sales team at United Country Real Estate/ Udoni and Salan Realty Group. Steidl has 40 years of real estate experience.

’69 Jan (Graham) Koch (BS), of Shawano, is the cochair of the Shawano Area Women’s Network. Koch is a former classroom teacher and reading specialist.

’70 Theodore Mainella (BS), of Franklin, retired from Mukwonago Area Schools in 2002, where he served as technology coordinator. Mainella is an adjunct professor at the University of North Dakota and a certified flight instructor.

’71 Tom Boyson (BBA), of Oshkosh, is in the process of moving his five radio stations’ headquarters to Radio Road in Ripon. Boyson and his wife, JoAnn, have been married for 41 years.

’71 Dennis Jones (BS), of Oshkosh, works for FEMA as an environmental and historic preservation reservist. Jones is frequently deployed to weather-related disasters.

’74 Margaret (Kutz) Dewey (BA), of Fort Wayne, Indiana, retired after working at Mable K. Holland Elementary School for 28 years.

’78 Ret. LTC Joe McGrath (BS), of Waupaca, was the keynote speaker at the Clintonville Memorial Day observance ceremony at Graceland Cemetery. McGrath served in the military for 35 years.

’79 Joseph Kaufmann (BBA) and ’85 Judith (Zimmer) Kaufmann (BSN), of Greenville, are enjoying their four grandchildren. Joe retired as president and CEO of Industrial Engraving.

’79 Jill (Vanderschaaf) Curry (BS), of Horicon, retired from a 35-year teaching career at Van Brunt Elementary School. Curry and her husband have three adult children and four grandchildren.

’84 Joye Moon (BFA), of Oshkosh, has had her paintings accepted into several national and international exhibits, including the International Exhibit with the Transparent Watercolor Society of America in Kenosha. Moon also will exhibit in China and with the Louisiana Watercolor Society in New Orleans, Louisiana, among other locations.

’85 Jeff Heinzen (BS), of Manitowoc, is the president and principal consultant of Quality Systems Associates Inc. Heinzen founded the company in 1993.

’87 Peter Baye (BS), of Cedarburg, is an emergency physician at Aurora Health Care Urgent Care in Kohler. Baye practiced at Emergency Medicine Specialists in Milwaukee for 24 years.

’88 Ted Wahoske (BBA), of Langley Air Force Base, Virginia, is a colonel in the U.S. Air Force.

’89 Susan (Pollard) Baganz (BS), of Fond du Lac, authored Donuts & Detours, a contemporary inspirational romance. Baganz plans to release four more titles this year.

’90 Ann Kunkle-Jones (BS), of Oshkosh, is a senior academic adviser at UWO. Jones attended the Civil War Institute and continues research in that area.

’92 Pam Ruder (MBA), of Oshkosh, is the director of Greater Oshkosh Healthy Neighborhoods Inc., a nonprofit organization that works with the city to revitalize and develop neighborhoods.

’93 Sharon (Linser) Johnson (BS), of Combined Locks, is CEO of the Stevens Point Area YMCA. Johnson was formerly the executive director of the Heart of the Valley YMCA in Kimberly.

’95 Julie Newhouse (MBA), of Appleton, is president of Ripon Printers. Newhouse has 30 years of experience in the graphic arts industry.

’95 Jarrod Washburn, of Webster, is head baseball coach at Webster High School. Washburn pitched for 12 seasons in the majors and was inducted into the UWO Athletic Hall of Fame.

’97 Tamara (Keenlance) Schattschneider (BSN), of Ripon, is vice president of patient services and chief nursing officer at St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac.

’00 Angela (Campbell) Sorg (BSN), of Spring Green, is an advanced practice nurse practitioner (APNP) at Mineral Point Medical Center.

’02 Shawn Robinson (BS), of Madison, is the coauthor of Doctor Dyslexia Dude!, a story about an African American boy who is a superhero with dyslexia. Robinson will be a panelist at DyslexiaCon18 in October.

’03 David Hodorff (BBA), of Malone, is the new chief operating officer at W.M. Sprinkman Corporation in Waukesha.

’03 Maj. Brian Krieck (BS), of Suamico, is the executive officer for the 432nd Civil Affairs Battalion (Airborne) in Green Bay. Krieck and his wife, Alexis, have three children.

’07 Martine D’Amour (BBA), of Leesburg, Virginia, was a guest speaker in the sales emphasis class on the UW Oshkosh campus. D’Amour is a key account manager with Diversey Inc.

’16 Austin Tomaz (BS), of Dallas, Texas, is a performance specialist at Michael Johnson Performance. Tomaz credits his success to his experiences in UWO football and kinesiology classes.

’67 Franklin Giebel (BS), of Neshkoro, retired after 15 years as pastor at Zion Lutheran Church in Neshkoro. Giebel and his wife, Susan, will reside in Wausau.

’68 Kathryn (Harkins) Breitzman (BS), of Kaukauna, is the Kaukauna School District’s school board president.

’70 Michael Tomczyk (BA), of Phoenixville, Pennsylvania, spoke at the Delaware Innovation Space & Atlanta Vintage Computing festival. Tomczyk is writing books and professionally speaking in his retirement.

’72 Shirley Lucas (BAE) and ’74 (MST), of Oshkosh, is retired after 25 years with the Oshkosh Area School District. Lucas is an award-winning artist in watercolors, alcohol inks and mixed media. Some of her recent works are displayed at Evergreen Manor.

’73 Richard Adam (BS), of Madison, is substitute teaching autistic children in the Madison elementary schools, officiating high school sports and enjoying time spent with his 4-year-old granddaughter in his retirement.

’73 Wayne Zweig (BS), of Oshkosh, retired from EastBay in 2017 and currently works part-time for Goodwill Industries.

’74 Paulette (Engeldinger) Neuser (BS) and ’77 (MS), of Two Rivers, retired after 22 years as librarian in the Valders Area School District.

’75 Tom Taraska (BS), of Brookfield, will be inducted into the National High School Athletic Coaches Association’s Hall of Fame. Taraska was a 29-year coach at Arrowhead High School, winning four Division 1 State Championships and five second place finishes. His overall record at Arrowhead was 248-76.

’75 David Traczyk (BBA), of Hurley, was honored with a Distinguished Alumni and Friends Award from the Hurley Education Foundation. Traczyk, a certified public accountant, opened his own firm in downtown Hurley in 1978.

’76 Ronald Kading (BS), of Potosi, is retiring after 41 years as head baseball coach at Potosi High School. Kading ends his coaching career with the sixth best winning percentage in the history of Wisconsin spring baseball coaches.

’77 Mark Luttenberger (BS) and ’80 (MA), of Fond du Lac, is the author of From Darius I to Philip II: The Story of Greek Poleis. The book covers the classical age of Greece from 500 to 336 B.C.

’78 George Kerwin (MBA), of De Pere, will retire after 26 years as Bellin Health System’s president and chief executive officer. Kerwin joined Bellin 47 years ago as the housekeeping and laundry manager.

’80 Bruce Dittmer (BBA), of Oceanside, California, is an independent senior consultant with DMP Consulting. Dittmer has 35 years’ experience in financial analysis, budgeting and forecasting, reporting compliance, auditing and cash management.

’87 Susan (Paral) Hatrzheim (BS), of Minocqua, completed a master’s degree in school counseling. Hartzheim is a 4K-3rd grade counselor at Lac du Flambeau Public School.

’90 Lisa Tieglman-Koepp (BS) and ’93 (MSE), of West Bend, is a licensed professional counselor with the State of Wisconsin. She earned the Certified Eating Disorder Specialist (CEDS) designation. She works for the Northshore Clinic and Consultants in West Bend and the Eating Disorders Services at Aurora Psychiatric Hospital in Wauwatosa.

’90 Trevy McDonald (BA), of Durham, North Carolina, is the first African American woman to be tenured in the UNC-Chapel Hill School of Media and Journalism. McDonald was promoted to associate professor with tenure in January. She has published two novels, Time Will Tell in 1999 and the 2018 sequel, Round ‘Bout Midnight.

’91 Ann (Schwarz) Bohn (BS), of Fond du Lac, has taught 22 years in the inner city of Milwaukee. Bohn formerly worked in law enforcement.

’91 Jodi (Thurow) Koch (BSN), of Green Bay, does clinical research with cancer patients at St. Vincent Hospital.

’91 Tom Schmitt (BSE), of Columbus, retired after 16 years as Middleton High School’s baseball manager. Schmitt led Middleton to state seven times in 16 years, including winning the 2003 state title.

’92 Cindy Alix (BS), of Golden, Colorado, is the manager at #Vybe, a bar in Denver.

’93 Brenda Cowan (BSN), of Houston, Texas, received a doctorate in nursing practice from the Cizik School of Nursing at University of Houston Health Science Center.

’93 Scott Davis (BS), of Rochester, Minnesota, is a senior Society of Quality Assurance and business analyst at Pearson VUE.

’94 Connie (Scott) Hynnek (MSE), of Markesan, will return to teaching second grade after 12 years as the Markesan Elementary School principal.

’95 Steven Hill (BSE), of Jackson, former middle school principal in Fond du Lac, is the new Waupun Area School District superintendent.

’95 Ronda (Black) Hitz (BSW), of Oshkosh, received a certificate for 20 years of state service. Hitz received honorable mention for the 2017 Virginia Hart Special Recognition Award for outstanding achievement in public service.

’95 Brenda (Biskobing) Johnson (BS), of Appleton, is branch executive director at the Heart of the Valley YMCA. She has worked at the Y since 1995.

’95 Tracey (Marohn) Miller (BSE) and ’00 (MS), of Omro, celebrated 20 years of teaching at Omro High School.

’97 Peter Boettcher (BSE), of Reedsburg, was honored by the Adams-Friendship High School students when they dedicated the yearbook to him. Boettcher is the director of the Global Opportunities for Alternative Learning (GOAL) Academy, which provides supplemental online learning opportunities.

’97 Kim (Newport) Everson (BA), of Van Dyne, returned to UW-Fond du Lac and UW Oshkosh in pursuit of a career in veterinary medicine after earning a prior degree in English at UWO. Everson is now a doctor of veterinary medicine and owner of St. Bernard’s Animal Medical Center, located between Oshkosh and Fond du Lac.

’97 Paula Hella (BS) and ’05 (MSE), of Green Bay, is the 2018 winner of the Wisconsin Association of Family and Consumer Sciences (WEAFCS) Team Effort Award. She is a family living educator with UW Extension.

’98 Brenda Balthazor (BS), of Wittenberg, received the Distinguished Fellow title from the American Academy of Physician Assistants, a national recognition of excellence in service to patients, community and students. Balthazor is a physician assistant at the Aspirus Birnamwood Clinic.

’98 Denise Parrish (BSN) and ’09 (MSN), of Omro, is chief administrative officer at Ascension Mercy Hospital.

’98 Mike Waters (BBA) and ’13 (MBA), of Greenville, was named market president for the soon-to-open Settlers bank in Appleton. Waters is a 20-year veteran banker in the Appleton community.

’00 Fr. Peter Renard (MBA), of De Pere, celebrated his 50th priesthood ordination anniversary in June.

’00 Kelly (Heier) Votava (BSE), of Green Bay, is a teacher at Bayshore Community Academy, a public charter school in Oconto.

’02 Eric Brunsell (MS), of Appleton, is an associate dean in the UW Oshkosh College of Education and Human Services. Brunsell has been a UWO faculty member for 10 years.

’04 Kristine “Kat” Anderson (BA), of Chicago, Illinois, participated in the second Biennial Early Modern Clothing Conference in Jamestown, Virginia, where she participated in workshops with well-known designers.

’04 Kayte Kaminski (BA), of Bozeman, Montana, earned a doctorate in adult and higher education administration in May. Kaminski is assistant dean and director of student success at Montana State University.

’04 Sarah (Pollesch) Olson (BSN) and ’11 (MSN), of Van Dyne, is teaching in the UWO College of Nursing.

’05 Samantha (Hurckman) Laughlin (BS), of Portage, is a sergeant at the Dodge County Jail. Laughlin has a 12-year career as a corrections officer.

’05 Kimberly Vlies (BA) and (BFA), of Green Bay, had her design selected for Artstreet 2018 promotional materials. Vlies is a digital marketing specialist for the UW-Green Bay office of marketing and university communication.

’07 Jennifer (Raeder) Noster (BSE), of Plymouth, will start her 12th year of teaching as a special education teacher in the Plymouth School District’s Fairview Elementary School.

’09 Nicholas Brock (MSE), of Clintonville, is the associate middle school principal in the Clintonville Public School District where he has taught special education for 10 years.

’10 Kim Krejcarek (BA), of Green Bay, received the WLUK-TV Fox 11/WCWF-TV Employee of the Month Award. Krejcarek produced a 30-minute television special entitled What I’ve Learned: The Best of the Class of 2018, featuring 427 honor seniors from more than 100 area high schools.

’10 Matt Wavrunek (BBA), of Denmark, is an insurance adviser with Associates Insurance Agency Ltd.

’12 Jason Breaker (BSE), of Tigerton, is the Markesan Elementary School principal.

’12 Angela Paddock (BS), of Waukesha, is a registered nurse at Aurora St. Luke’s Medical Center after graduating with a bachelor’s degree in nursing in May.

’13 Travis Adams (BS), of Weston, is a clinical athletic trainer for Marshfield Clinic Health Systems. Adams and his wife, Alyssa, have three children.

’13 Sara (Tolley) Bertram (BLS), of Fond du Lac, is a trade classification analyst at Plexus. Bertram and her husband raise 250 head of cattle and farm 600 acres of cash crops.

’13 Tyler Egnarski (BA), of Milwaukee, is a broadcast engineer for Weigel Broadcasting, CBS 58. Egnarski has advocated for the use of drones in news gathering.

’13 Braden Frederickson (BSE), of Oshkosh, teaches in the Oshkosh Area School District. Frederickson has a graduate degree from Michigan State University.

’13 Alaina Landi (BA), of Milwaukee, was awarded a Fulbright U.S. Student Grant to allow her to travel to Columbia to support those learning English.

’13 Tyler Morey (MBA), of Minneapolis, Minnesota, is upper Midwest sales manager for Implus Footcare LLC. Morey and his wife, Melissa, relocated from South Carolina.

’13 Michael Wright (BS), of Fond du Lac, is a civil engineering designer/drafter at McMahon Group in Neenah.

’14 Sarah Grotegut (BSN), of Dallas, Texas, is a school nurse for the Dallas Independent School District. Grotegut and her husband, Eric, are expecting their first child.

’14 Tanya Schmidt (MSE), of Appleton, is a clinical mental health coordinator at Northwest Counseling & Guidance Clinic. Schmidt recently moved back to the Fox Valley after living four years in Arkansas.

’14 Lucas Suthers (BSN), of Monroe, is a family nurse practitioner at Memorial Hospital of Lafayette County. Suthers earned a master’s degree in nursing from Walden University in 2017.

’15 Amanda Felle (BS), of Davenport, Florida, is a client services coordinator with the Walt Disney Company.

’15 Thomas Figueroa (BBA), of Oconomowoc, is an account manager at the Crisis Prevention Institute in Milwaukee.

’16 Chelsea Juen (BA), of Appleton, is a community columnist for the Appleton Post-Crescent.

’18 Katryna Williams (BSN), of Seattle, Washington, is a nurse at the University of Washington Medical Center. Williams took first place for women in the 2018 Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon with a time of 3 hours, 4 minutes, 8 seconds.

’64 Ron Friedel (BS), of Brown Deer, was a full-time lab instructor in geology at UW Oshkosh from 1964 to 1966 and worked in geosciences at UW-Milwaukee from 1969 until retirement in 2000.

’68 Larry Stadler (BS), of Sun Lakes, Arizona, is a retired AIG claims manager.

’70 Diane (Bunda) Doden (BS), of Appleton, is semi-retired, works part time at Kohl’s and is a volleyball official.

’71 George Schraufnagel (BS), of Little Chute, is the pastoral minister at St. John Nepomucene Parish in Little Chute. Schraufnagel has been a deacon for 35 years.

’71 Christine (Hoopman) Tower (BS) and ’73 (MS), of Oshkosh, retired from UW Oshkosh and Marian University. Tower enjoys traveling and time with family.

’80 Kim Robinson (BS), of Milwaukee, celebrated his retirement after 37 years with the Milwaukee Police Department. Robinson continues to be a freelance photojournalist.

’80 Karen (Merker) Weis (BS), of Milwaukee, retired in 2014 and moved to a loft in the Historic Third Ward.

’80 Phil Whitebloom (BBA), of Elkridge, Maryland, is sales director for North America with Enensys Technologies, which designs and manufactures equipment and software enabling efficient video delivery over broadcast and telecom networks.

’84 Terry (Marsicek) Lieske (BS), of Milwaukee, retired from the Whitnall School District after 34 years of teaching.

’84 Scott Neitzel (BS), of Verona, left his position as the State of Wisconsin Department of Administration secretary and is taking a break before deciding on his next career move.

’84 Ted Tornow (BS), of Clinton, Iowa, is completing his 35th year in professional baseball management with the Clinton Lumber Kings. Tornow and his wife, ’86 Ruth (Ostenso) Tornow (BSN), recently celebrated their anniversary.

’85 Tina (Kempf) Bettin (BS) and ’89 (MSN), of Marion, was inducted into the Fellows of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (FAANP). Bettin has worked for Thedacare for 18 years.

’86 Paul Whitenack (BFA), of Plymouth, Minnesota, is the manager of building science with Kraus Anderson Construction. Whitenack previously served as a consultant in the six-year restoration of the exterior enclosure of the Minnesota State Capitol.

’87 Montgomery “Monty” Greene (BS), of Two Rivers, retired after 12 years as school resources officer at L.B. Clarke Middle School.

’89 Jennifer Crow (BS), of Houston, Texas, retired after 30 years teaching in the Houston Independent School District.

’89 Mary Jo “MJ” Netzer (BS), of Rothschild, is a librarian at the Marathon County Public Library’s Stratford branch.

’96 Cynthia (Myers) Holmes (BA), of Darien, earned a Society for Human Resource Management-Certified Professional designation.

’97 Shelley Dietz (BBA), of New Franken, married Kelly McNiff ’00(BS) and ’04 (BSE), after 15 years as partners.

’98 Eric Halfman (BBA), of Beaver Dam, is a field sales manager for John Deere. Halfman is married and has two children.

’98 Michael Pica (BSE), of Wautoma, completed his 18th year as a physical education teacher with the Tomah Area School District. Pica has coached football, baseball and boys basketball.

’98 Mike Vaughan (BBA), of Winneconne, is a business banking relationship manager at Fortifi Bank.

’01 Cathy (Doran) Cluff (BS), of Oshkosh, is the sales director for the Oshkosh Convention and Visitors Bureau.

’02 Stephan Wucherer (BM), of Weyauwega, is director of orchestras at the Lineville Intermediate School in the Howard-Suamico School District.

’03 Erin Krebs (BME), of Appleton, won the Wisconsin Area Music Industry Award for Jazz Artist of the Year and was nominated for Female Vocalist of the Year in 2016, 2017 and 2018. A former music teacher, Krebs now gives private lessons and focuses on her vocal career.

’05 Kevin Jones (BBA), of Oshkosh, is co-owner of Adashun Jones Real Estate.

’06 Jennifer (Rabas) Damask (BS) and Kevin Damask ‘06(BA), of Madison, were married in August.

’07 Matt Hipp (BA), of Greenville, entered the Army’s warrant officer candidate program and expects to graduate in September.

’07 Patrick O’Brien (BBA), of Marquette, Michigan, is the Upper Peninsula district director for the Boy Scouts of America. O’Brien and his wife are expecting their third child.

’07 Ayse (Twit) Reyering (BS), of Brooklyn, New York, is a television and digital post producer who has worked on various programming, including Netflix, HBO, NBC Sports, Spike, A&E and History. Reyering recently received an Emmy nomination for her Netflix series with David Letterman.

’09 Jamie (Masterson) Rogers (BFA) and Craig Rogers ’09 (BFA), of Richland Center, both art teachers, painted a mermaid n Noah’s Art, a chalk art festival in the Wisconsin Dells.

’12 Joshua Hernday (BM), of Appleton, is the instrumental ensembles director at Silver Lake College of the Holy Family in Manitowoc. Hernday also is concert manager and board member of the Oshkosh Symphony Orchestra and founding music director of the Neenah Community Orchestra.

’12 Andrew “Drew” Kopitzke (MS), of Neenah, is an undergraduate admissions counselor at UW Oshkosh. Kopitzke has worked at UWO for nine years.

’13 Leonard Caty Jr. (BLS), of Kaukauna, works in shipping and receiving for Metal Storm in De Pere.

’13 Katie Danielson (BSW), of Madison, is a graduate student at UW-Madison.

’13 John Pahlas (BFA), of Darlington, is making a 12-15 foot eagle sculpture to be featured on the Great Sauk State Trail. Pahlas won best in show at the 43rd-annual Green Lake Fine Arts Fair.

’13 John Rank (BSL), of Oshkosh, helps at-risk college students at Fox Valley Technical College find volunteer opportunities within the Fox Valley.

’14 Dennis Plantz (BLS), of Ripon, is the Berlin police chief. He has a 33-year career in law enforcement.

’15 Peter Michalski (BS), of West Bend, is a chemist and microbiologist with Rockline Industries, a wet-wipe manufacturer.

’15 Kaitlin (Marquardt) Phillips (BSE) and Scott Phillips ’16 (BS) of Oshkosh, were recently married. They met at UWO and had their engagement photos taken on campus. Kaitlin is a teacher in the Rosendale-Brandon School District.

’16 Natalie (Snyder) Anderson (BSE), of Rosendale, is a second-grade teacher for the Waupun Area School District and was married in June.

’16 Joe Tribbey Jr. (BAS), of Superior, is the director of the Emergency Response Training Center at Lake Superior College. Tribbey is a 17-year veteran of the Superior Fire Department.

’17 Abigail Boville (BS), of Tampa, Florida, works for Metlife Health Fitness.

’17 Robyn Elliott (BA), of Brookfield, is a communications graduate assistant with UW-Parkside’s athletic department.

’17 Erik Moon (BBA), of Rosendale, is the business director for the Omro School District.

’17 Stephanie (Nabbefeld) Williamson (BS), of Menasha, is a residence director at Hallmark Place, an independent senior living community in Kimberly.

’18 James Menger (BS), of Omro, is a Grafton Police Department officer.

’18 Samantha Walvort (BSE), of Sheboygan Falls, traveled to Tanzania, Africa ,with the Growth International Volunteer Excursions program. She taught English lessons and helped with local infrastructure projects.
