The following Class Notes were received recently in the UW Oshkosh Alumni Office:

’60 Mary Lou (Kirk) Broske (EHS), of Platteville, a retired teacher, will have a hall named in memory of her late husband, Bill Broske, following donation of a gift in his memory to the Legion Park Event Center.

’63 Fred Jungers (LS) and ’65 Joan (Pelkey) Jungers (EHS), of Hot Springs Village, Arkansas, are retired national tennis officials who worked the US Open for 13 years and the NCAA National Championships for 25 years. The Jungers love to travel and have visited all 50 states and 36 countries.

’66 Gerald Whitburn (LS), of Wausau, and his wife Charmaine fund two scholarships per year at Merrill High School in honor of their late daughter, Bree. The scholarships are for Merrill graduates who plan to attend one of the UW-System’s four-year campuses. Whitburn has been a member of the Wisconsin Board of Regents since 2011.

’69 James Boyle (EHS) and MSE ’78, of Deerbrook, is a retired middle school teacher and high school coach. Boyle is enjoying life on his tree farm in northern Wisconsin.

’76 Kathy (Held) Lippold (EHS), of Racine, ’76 Mary (McGrath) Reynolds (EHS), of Milwaukee, ’76 Mary (Ryan) Schwandt (LS), of St. Paul, Minnesota, ’79 Mary Bergin (LS), of Madison and ’95 Sue (Arndt) Madsen (EHS) and ’08 (N), of Oshkosh, remain friends after many years. They recently traveled to Santa Fe, New Mexico.

’76 Daniel Sommerville (EHS), of Wheaton, Illinois, is a professor of music and an orchestra director at the Conservatory of Music of Wheaton College. Sommerville also is the music director and conductor of the Illinois Valley Symphony Orchestra.

’78 William Leahy (EHS), of New Richmond, is a musician, songwriter and retired music teacher. Leahy recently performed at the Hillside Music Series at the New Richmond Heritage Center.

’81 Greg Ives (LS), of Crystal Lake, Illinois, is a marketing communications consultant with CNA Financial Corporation in Chicago.

’81 Michael Olsen (EHS), of Green Bay, retired from the Green Bay Area Public School District after more than 38 years of teaching.

’84 Tim Dorece (LS), of Marietta, Georgia, celebrated 35 years as a video editor and producer with CNN in Atlanta. Dorece and his wife, Carole, have been married for 32 years and have one daughter, Jenna.

’85 Gary Dodge (LS), of Neopit, is celebrating 24 years of practicing law, primarily criminal law.

’89 Dianne Lazear (MPA), of Tomahawk, is a trustee on the Nicolet College Board of Directors. Lazear is a retired Nicolet College faculty member and recipient of the UW Oshkosh University Teaching Excellence Merit Award.

’89 Monica (Ritschke) Nichter (N) and  MSN ’92, of Manitowoc, was appointed to the Lakeshore Technical College District Board of Trustees. Nichter is the director of managed care and fund development at Holy Family Memorial Inc.

’89 Gary Ryan (B), of Oakfield, is senior vice president and senior credit officer at National Exchange Bank & Trust. Ryan joined the bank in 1989 as a credit analyst.

’92 Matthew Schoultz (B), of New London, is the athletic and activities director for St. Mary Catholic Schools in Neenah. Schoultz has over 25 years of experience in coaching and administration.

’93 Andrew Radig (LS), of Nekoosa, is the multimedia coordinator for the City of Wisconsin Rapids. Radig manages the city’s cable television channel as well as communications through social and commercial media.

’94 Jennifer Zorger (EHS) and ’00 (MSE), of Goodyear, Arizona, is a school improvement program specialist with the Arizona Department of Education. Zorger has 23 years of teaching experience.

’96 Holly Lifke (MBA), of Appleton, is executive vice president of human resources at The Boldt Company.

’98 Andrea (Shell) Friis (EHS), of Green Bay, is principal at Monroe Elementary School in Manitowoc. Friis was previously a literacy coach for the Green Bay Area Public School District.

’98 Michael Pica (EHS), Wautoma, completed his 20th year in the Wautoma Area School District as a physical education teacher at Parkside Middle School.

’00 Gina (Weyers) Krahn (LS), of Two Rivers, is the owner of Sepia Chapel, a wedding and event venue in the former Holy Martyrs Church building.

’00 Bonnie Nickasch (N) and MSN ’06 (MSN) and DNP ’14, of Appleton, earned tenure at UW Oshkosh and was named post licensure programs director and assistant dean in UWO’s College of Nursing.

’01 Heidi (Turchan) Schroederus (EHS) and MSE ’06, of Hilbert, is principal of Riverview Elementary School and Riverview Early Learning Center in Manitowoc. Schroederus was previously principal at Stangel Elementary.

’02 Willie Jude II (LS), of Nashville, Tennessee, is vice president for student affairs at Fisk University.

’04 Eric Northwood (LS), of Franklin, is a City of Milwaukee police officer.

’06 Nicholas Berger (LS), of Sherwood, is the safety director for August Winter & Sons. Berger is a major in the Army Reserves Civil Affairs.

’07 Patrick O’Brien (B), is the district director for the Boy Scouts of America in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. O’Brien has three children.

’09 Caleb Hunt (EHS), of Menomonie, is principal at Cadott High School.

’11 Jared Stroik (LS), of Appleton, is an attorney with Briesen & Roper, S.C. He serves as a principal associate in the business practice group.

’12 Harmony (Tiffany) Kelly (LS), of Hanover, Pennsylvania, is an adjunct nursing instructor for Harrisburg Area Community College, York College and Johns Hopkins School of Nursing. Kelly also is a bedside nurse and skincare specialist.

’13 Jessica Geschke (EHS), of Horicon, is an addiction recovery healthcare counselor with Affiliated Clinical Services. She also is a program supervisor with Wisconsin Voices for Recovery in Madison. She represented Wisconsin at the July Mobilize Recovery event in Las Vegas.

’14 Katelyn Arquette (LS), of Phillips, was one of 27 artists selected out of 437 applicants nationwide to create the art that appears on U.S. coinage in April 2020.

’14 Sam Engelland (EHS), of Neenah, is the athletic and activities director at Hortonville High School. Engelland previously taught and served as assistant athletic director at Neenah Joint School District and Stoughton Area School District.

’14 Dennis Plantz (OCE), of Ripon, retired after a 34-year career as a state trooper and Berlin Police Chief.

’18 Lindsey Hartz (EHS), of Sherwood, teaches seventh grade in the Valders Area School District.

’18 Aleesha Koslica (LS), of Kenosha, is an environmental health practitioner with the Lake County Health Department.

’18 Megan Tonn (MSE), of Fond du Lac, is an instructional support teacher in the Little Chute School District. Tonn has been a middle school English teacher in the Fond du Lac School District for the past seven years.

’61 Lou Marohn (EHS) and Pat (Long) Marohn ’62 (EHS), of Glenview, Illinois, hosted a UW Oshkosh alumni reception event at Grandpa’s Place in Glenview in August.

’63 Mary Boss (EHS), of Oshkosh, is retired after a 30-year career as a realtor. Boss also is a former speech and English teacher for Winneconne middle and high schools and Fox Valley Technical College.

’67 Charles Bradley (EHS), of Kenosha, retired in 2007 from teaching at Tremper High School but continues to coach cross country after 51 years. Bradley and his wife, Ruth, are celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary.

’71 David Tolpingrud (B), of Oshkosh, a member of the UWO Alumni Association Board of Directors shares his Titan pride with many, including his granddaughter Joelle.

’73 Laurel Striebel-Marchinowski (EHS) and MA ’84, of Neenah, teaches band to grades 4-8 at St. John’s Catholic School in Little Chute. Striebel-Marchinowski has taught band for over 40 years in the Fox Cities.

’73 Phil Rasmussen (EHS), of Wauchula, Florida, is a retired, self-employed citrus grower and cattle and property manager.

’80 Sandy (Warner) Bevels (EHS), of Salisbury, North Carolina, retired from Rowan-Salisbury Schools after 29 years as an exceptional children’s teacher.

’81 Laurie (Simonson) Krasin (LS), of Fond du Lac, received the UW System Outstanding Contributor Access Award for her role in advancing the UW Colleges and UW-Extension restructuring project.

’85 Don Becker (LS), of Delafield, celebrated 30 years in the advertising business. Becker has spent the last 22 years as president of DBA Marketing Communications.

’87 Mike Heller (LS), of Waunakee, is a sports talk show host on The Big 1070 in Madison.

’88 Steven Francour (LS), of Oshkosh, picked up his 500th win as a 30-year veteran college tennis coach. Francour is in his seventh season with the Lawrence University women’s tennis team.

’91 Paula McNiel (N), of Greenville, received the Edward M. Pension Distinguished Teaching Award at the UW Oshkosh convocation. McNiel is a leader in the public health field and active in community engagement initiatives related to health promotion and aging.

’93 Timothy Rosenthal (EHS), of Beloit, has been a music educator for 25 years in the Beloit Turner School District. Rosenthal earned a master’s degree in educational leadership and policy analysis and is currently a doctoral candidate at UW-Madison.

’94 Chad Dombroski (B), of Lutz, Florida, is moving back to Wisconsin to work as the business development manager for Jacobus Energy.

’95 Shelly (Disch) Mogensen (MBA), of Marinette, is chief credit officer at Stephenson National Bank and Trust. Mogensen joined the bank in 2005 as a commercial credit assistant and is a former recipient of the Stephenson National Bank and Trust Award of Excellence.

’95 Stacy Strandberg (LS), of Hartland, participated in Miami University’s Earth Expeditions global field course in Baja California. Strandberg is a biology teacher at Divine Savior Holy Angels High School in Milwaukee.

’95 Catherine (Schmidt) Williams (LS), of Necedah, will exhibit her collection of Profiles on Paper at The Drury Gallery at Portage Center for the Arts. Williams focuses on charcoal or ebony pencil portraits of people via live sittings and reference photos.

’96 Melissa (Albright) Bublitz (B) and MBA ’02, of Neenah, received the Edward M. Penson Faculty Award at the UWO convocation. Bublitz is a faculty member in the UWO College of Business.

’97 Laura Knappen (MBA), of Oshkosh, retired after 20 years of service to UW Oshkosh. Knappen most recently served as director of user services in Information Technology.

’98 Catherine Caspary (N) and MSN ’03, of Fond du Lac, is a nurse practitioner and regional director at Optum Clinical Services. Caspary also is a volunteer nurse practitioner at Church Health Services, a free clinic in Beaver Dam.

’98 Patrick De Bruin (EHS) and MS ’05, of Appleton, is a high school mathematics teacher at Little Chute High School.

’01 Christine Arendt (MSN), of Neenah, Wisconsin, is an advanced practice nurse practitioner specializing in endocrinology at Fox Valley Surgical Associates.

’02 Jessica (Bobholz) Jacobson (EHS), of Cedarburg, is a special education teacher at Readfield Elementary School in New London.

’02 Nathan Russell (EHS), of Portage, will be recognized for his musical contributions to the community at the annual Portage Center for the Arts’ Autumn Arts Dinner. Russell worked as an audio engineer at Woodland Studios in Nashville and owns and operates his own music teaching studio, Portage Soundworks.

’03 Thomas Xiong (LS), of Appleton, assistant director of UWO Admissions, received the UWO Inclusive Excellence Award, which recognizes individuals who have created a campus climate that values diversity, safety, equity and respect.

’06 Kristi Romberg (MSE), of Friendship, was nominated for the prestigious 2019 Herb Kohl Fellowship Award. Romberg has taught alternative education at Westfield High School for 13 years and coaches cross country.

’08 Jacquleine Trebiatowski (EHS), of Omro, and spouse ’05 Paul Trebiatowski (B) celebrated 12 years of marriage. Jacqueline has taught at Carl Traeger Elementary for 10 years and received the 2017 UWO Integrative Teacher of the Year Award.

’09 Laura Lenss (EHS), of Wrightstown, is a special education teacher at West De Pere High School. Lenss educates with a facility dog from Canine Companions for Independence to promote a positive environment for her students.

’10 Kimberly Krejcarek (LS), of Green Bay, is the creative services producer for WLUK-TV Fox 11. Krejcarek produced a 30-minute television special to commemorate WLUK’s 65th anniversary this September.

’10 Daniel Mahn (LS and EHS), of Green Bay, has been teaching for 10 year, the past five at Westfield High School. He is pursuing a master’s degree in educational administration with a concentration in principal and curriculum director licenses.

’11 Kylie Hodges (EHS), of West Hollywood, California, is the UWO Los Angeles Alumni Chapter leader. Hodges will return to campus on Oct. 8 to speak on the power of connections and relationships when navigating a career.

’11 Daniel Kovach (EHS), of Washburn, is a math interventionist in the School District of Bayfield. Kovach has 20 years of teaching experience.

’11 Lori (Hoover) Palmeri (LS), of Oshkosh, is the Oshkosh mayor. Palmeri is a former deputy mayor and common council member and was recognized in Si Se Puede’s 2019 list of Wisconsin’s most powerful Latinos.

’11 Jessica (Maltbey) Stickel (MSE), of Prescott, Arizona, spoke at the UW Oshkosh Head Start Kick-Off event. Stickel opened her own business eight years ago, Inspired Freedom, which provides life coaching, wellness, goal setting and other supports.

’12 Joe Ackerman (B), of Appleton, is a senior commercial lender at Wolf River Community Bank in Hortonville. Ackerman has seven years’ experience in the finance industry.

’12 Renee Anderson (LS), of Fond du Lac, received a UWO Outstanding Performance Award. Anderson was a returning adult student and graduate of both UW-Fond du Lac and UW-Oshkosh. Since 2010 she has worked as an executive assistant in the Dean’s office and more recently the Office of the Assistant Chancellor for Access Campuses at the Fond du Lac campus.

’12 Jaquelyn (Nefstead) Frombach (N), of Medford, is the chief nursing officer at Marshfield Medical Center-Minocqua hospital. Frombach also provides nursing leadership at Marshfield Clinic centers in Wausau, Weston, Stevens Point and Wisconsin Rapids.

’12 Ryan Zak (EHS) and MS ’16, of Oshkosh, is the dean of students at Berlin Middle School.

’13 Kara (Hopfensperger) Baumgartner (EHS), of Freedom, is an elementary math coach in the Kaukauna Area School District. Baumgartner previously worked in the Seymour Community School District.

’13 Tyler Morey (MBA), of Minneapolis, Minnesota, participated in the Comrades Ultramarathon (54 mile race) in South Africa, representing his company, Balega, while raising $4,000 for The Ethembeni School. He was the fourth American in the race. Morey was a member of the UWO cross-country and track and field teams as a student.

’14 Eliza Farrow (LS), of Oshkosh, received the UWO Queer Faculty/Staff Award. Farrow has been the program assistant for the UWO Women’s Center since 2014, is a Tier 1 SAFE trainer, serves on the LGBTQ+ Resource Center advisory board, designed the new Ally March logo, and led the launch of Level Up! Feminist Gaming Initiative.

’14 Beth Krage (MSN), of Caledonia, Minnesota, is director of nursing at Gundersen Tweeten Care Center. Krage previously worked as a registered nurse and clinical nurse leader at Gundersen Healthcare System in La Crosse.

’14 Rebecca Viaene (EHS), of Appleton, is a counselor at New London High School. Viaene has been a social worker for five years.

’15 Michelle Cecil (LS), of Delaware, Ohio, is engaged to be married in 2021. Cecil is a residential life coordinator at Ohio Wesleyan University.

’15 Casey Despres (B), of Waupun, is the executive director of the Waupun Area Chamber of Commerce. Despres will continue to serve as farmer’s market manager of the Downtown Farmers Market.

’15 Danica Kulibert (LS) and MS ’17, of New Orleans, Louisiana, is in a doctoral program in Tulane University’s Department of Psychology.

’15 Deanna VanderWielen (LS), of Appleton, received the UWO Outstanding Performance Award. VanderWielen supports the College of Business professional development program and advises Alpha Lambda Delta.

’16 Natalie (Strzalko) Demler (EHS), of Oshkosh, is a national account specialist with Amcor, managing the Hormel Foods national account and also involved with Amcor’s employee engagement committee. She is married to Jake Demler ’11 (LS).

’16 Daniel Kobin (LS), of Durham, North Carolina, is the content photography manager at soccer.com for Sports Endeavors Inc.

’16 Brenna McDermot (LS), of Fond du Lac, is a freshman English teacher at Omro High School. While at UWO, McDermot was an editor for the Advance-Titan student newspaper.

’16 Emily Olson (EHS), of Oshkosh, is a grade school counselor at Clay Lamberton Middle School.

’16 Andrew Pflanzer (LS), of Brooklyn, New York, married Lydia Ramsey in August. Pflanzer is a development manager of individual giving at the Marshall Project, a nonprofit organization focused on criminal justice.

’17 Abigail Boville (LS), of Tampa, Florida, and Jeff Clapper ’18 (LS), of Manitowoc, are engaged to be married. Boville is a health fitness professional with MetLife.

’18 Brenna Martyn (EHS), of Edgar, Wisconsin, was hired as an eighth-grade U.S. history teacher at Berlin Middle School.

’18 Bridget Pendergast (B), of Chicago, Illinois, is a campus recruiter for Northwestern Mutual.

’18 Melanie Van Asten (LS), of Kaukauna, is a school social worker at Greenville Elementary School.

’18 Brianna Vande Wettering (MS), of Greenville, is a second-grade teacher at Greenville Elementary School. Vande Wettering has seven years of teaching experience.

’19 Colin Daniels (LS), of Oshkosh, is a realtor with Adashun Jones Real Estate. Daniels received an associate’s degree from the UWO Fox Cities campus and a bachelor’s degree from the UW Oshkosh campus.

’19 Devon Feldt (MS), of Waupaca, is a teacher at the Chain Exploration Center, a charter school with a focus on project-based learning.

’19 Alexandra Holt (B), of Winneconne, works at Holt’s Diamond Jewelers and plans to become the third-generation owner of her family’s business.

’71 Tony Beregszazi (LS), of Fond du Lac, completed a multi-year term as treasurer and chair of the Fox Valley Workforce Development Board’s finance committee. Beregszazi is deputy director of ADVOCAP in Fond du Lac.

’72 Tom Davis (EHS), of Sturgeon Bay, published In the Unsettled Homeland of Dreams, a historical fiction novel about Tom Bennet’s efforts to lead six slave families through the Underground Railroad to Washington Island just off the tip of Door County.

’79 David Galassie (B), of Columbia, South Carolina, released his third book, Fort Jackson, A History of the Army’s Largest Basic Training Post. Galassie is a human resource specialist with the US Army Combined Arms Support Command.

’81 Victoria (Kaufman) Conrad (LS), of Phoenix, Arizona, completed her Masters in Organizational Leadership. Conrad is a claims service manager with the United Services Automobile Association (USAA).

’88 Kristine (Miller) Pavletich (LS), of Neenah, is the director of corporate communications at Menasha Corporation.

’89 Keith Casey (LS), of Oshkosh, is the director of veterans’ services and assistant director of community outreach for Concordia University Wisconsin. Casey has over 30 years of service in the U.S. Army.

’91 Kathleen (Clark) Yarbro (LS) and ’71 Barry Yarbro (LS), of Oshkosh, are retired and enjoy participating in numerous volunteer opportunities.

’94 Russ Steinhorst (B), of Appleton, is chief executive officer of Shopko Optical. Steinhorst was the vice president and controller of Shopko Stores Operating Company since 2009.

’97 Jason Hendricks (B), of Fond du Lac, was elected 2019-2020 chair of the board for Fox Valley Workforce Development where he has served as a board member since 2015. Hendricks is a human resources business partner at J. F. Ahern.

’97 Jason Mansmith (LS), of Ripon, received the Ripon Area School District’s Distinguished Alumni Award. Mansmith is in his 17th year as WRPN Radio’s program director and morning show host. He is also the voice of Ripon Tiger athletics.

’99 Corey Vanderpoel (B), of Hartland, was appointed to the Peoples State Bank holding company and bank board of directors. Vanderpoel is owner and managing director of Taureau Group, LLC, a Milwaukee-based investment bank providing merger and acquisition services throughout the Midwest.

’00 Joshua Preiser (LS) and ’12 (MBA), of Wausau, is a risk management analyst at M3 Insurance.

’01 Laura (Frank) Biehn (LS), of Oshkosh, is the secretary of the Fox Valley Workforce Development Board of Directors. Biehn is a senior HR business partner at Sargento Foods, Inc.

’12 Kyle Knoeck (LS), of Kewaskum, was selected by his peers to receive the Stoughton Police Department’s Officer of the Year Award.

’14 Heather North (LS), of Stoughton, volunteers as a community ambassador for the EOD Warrior Foundation, raising over $20,000 for the organization since 2017. North is a marketing coordinator for Costco.

’14 Randall Parks (LS), of Fort Benning, Georgia, is Captain of ABLE Company 1st Battalion, 19th Infantry Regiment.

’14 Benjamin Zblewski (LS), of Kalamazoo, Michigan, became the father of twins in February. Zblewski is one of triplets.

’15 Sarah (Bartels) Werner (N), of Beaver Dam, is an ICU nurse with float shifts to the emergency room and medical/surgical floor. Werner has two sons, ages one and three.

’16 Griffin Budde (LS), of Deforest, a fourth year pharmacy student at the University of Wisconsin, won a local shark tank competition with his pharmacy student team by building an application to help cancer patients better manage their care.

’16 Phllip Hammond (LS), of Oshkosh, is a training team lead with Alliance Laundry Systems.

’18 Rachel Davis (LS), of Madison, began a master’s program in school psychology at the University of Wisconsin Madison.

The following Class Notes were received recently in the UW Oshkosh Alumni Office:

’61 Bella (Owen) Rees (EHS), of Fall River, turned 100 years old in October. After teaching for 14 years in a one-room schoolhouse, Rees drove to Oshkosh State Teachers College every day for ten summers to get her degree.

Mike Dieters

’64 Mike Deiters (LS), of Deforest, was inducted into the Marinette High School Athletic Hall of Fame. Dieters was Marinette’s all-time leading scorer in 1960. He played basketball for UWO from 1962-1964, was a member of the Wisconsin State University conference championship team and played in the NAIA national tournament in Kansas City. Deiters officiated high school and college basketball for 18 years and was commissioner of the Bay Conference for ten years.

’67 Charles “Chuck” Herro (LS), of Alameda, California, retired from teaching at Teton County School District in Jackson Hole, Wyoming and an as investigator for the Gerry Spence Law Firm.

Robert Kantin

’70 Robert Kantin (B), of Park City, Utah, enjoys skiing. Kantin spends summer and winter in Utah and spring and fall in Scottsdale, Arizona.

’72 Helen Van Rooy (EHS), of Freedom, was a middle school math, religion, and reading teacher at St. Nicholas School. Van Rooy retired from teaching and worked in finance prior to retiring at age 60. She and her husband, Ken, enjoy traveling to exotic destinations.

Skip “Howard” Robertson

’73 Skip “Howard” Robertson (EHS), of Shawano, was interviewed on the Apollo 50th Anniversary episode of NASA Science Live. Robertson was part of the recovery team for the Apollo 11 mission.

’85 Jean Kwaterski (B), and ’87 (MBA), of Oshkosh, received the National Association of College Auxiliary Service’s Regional Mentor Award at the NACAS Conference. The award recognizes a regional member who has shown initiative in welcoming newcomers and promoting and encouraging involvement of members at the regional and national level.

’89 Todd Mayr (EHS), of Antigo, was the guest speaker at Antigo Middle School’s Veteran’s Day service. Mayr was deployed to Turkey during Operation Desert Shield/Desert Storm and was at the U.S. Army Medical Command Headquarters during Operation Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom. Mayr retired from the U.S. Army Reserve in 2013.

’92 Robert Mayfield (EHS), of Menasha, was named the Wisconsin Association of School District Administrators 2020 Superintendent of the Year. Mayfield has served as Kimberly Area School District’s superintendent since 2008.

’92 Tina Grenlie (B), of Fremont, is a financial advisor with Edward Jones in Appleton.

’93 Sherry (Rosenthal) Boushele-Walter (LS), of Neenah, is a business sponsorship account executive with Wisconsin Public Radio. Boushele-Walter previously worked for Residence Life at UW Oshkosh.

’93 Anne (Kersbergen) Brett (MSN), of Germantown, received Watertown High School’s Distinguished Alumni Award.

’94 Raymond Ellingsen, Jr. (LS), of Oshkosh, is retired and enjoys his four grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

’94 Tonja Gerondale (LS) and (EHS), of Green Bay, is a middle school science and reading teacher at St. Nicholas School in Freedom. Gerondale has been married for 28 years and has two children.

’95 Catherine (Schmidt) Williams (LS), of Necedah exhibited her charcoal portraits at the Pump House Regional Art Center in La Crosse in November.

’96 Michelle (Zimmerman) Gee (LS), of Wausau, works for the State of Wisconsin as a forensic scientist and has two grandsons.

’98 Howard Spearman (LS) and ’03 (MSE), of Rockton, Illinois, is vice president of student affairs at Madison College. Spearman has 21 years of higher education experience.

’99 Barbara Beuscher (LS) and ’18 (MBA), of Massillon, Ohio, was named vice president for university advancement at Gannon University in Erie, Pennsylvania.

’99 Ryan Schabach (LS), of Milwaukee, directed Beast on the Moon at Unity Theater in Brenham, Texas. The drama was written by Richard Kalinoski of the UW Oshkosh Theatre Department. Schabach is also performing British Pantomime at Stages Reparatory Theatre in Houston, Texas.

’01 Chad Doran (LS), of Appleton, is the City of Appleton’s communications coordinator.

’01 Sean Smith (LS), of Delafield, is the varsity baseball coach for Catholic Memorial High School in Waukesha. Smith was the Atlanta Braves’ fifth round draft pick in 1992.

’02 Shawn Robinson (EHS), of Oshkosh, edited a new book, Promoting Academic Readiness for African American Males with Dyslexia. Robinson is a senior research associate with Wisconsin Equity & Inclusion Laboratory and director of Pure and Complete Phonics LLC.

’04 Ben Priesgen (LS), of Lomira, is the assistant varsity and head junior varsity girls basketball coach at Lomira High School.

’05 Jacob Nowacki (LS), of Los Angeles, California, is a packaging project manager with Schawk!

’05 Paul Orlich (MSE), of De Pere, is the superintendent and high school principal for the School District of Mishicot. Orlich recently earned his Doctor of Philosophy degree in Educational Leadership.

’09 Thomas Freitag (LS), of Hendersonville, Tennessee, is a technical support manager with Bonitron in Nashville.

’10 Anton “Tony” Balza (OCE), of Appleton, is a production supervisor ITU Absortech in Neenah. Balza previously worked at Community First Credit Union.

’10 Joseph Connelly (EHS), of Oshkosh, was the keynote speaker at New London Middle School’s Veterans Day program.  Connelly served as a supply support specialist with the Joint Special Operations Command in Afghanistan during Operation Enduring Freedom in 2003. Connelly earned an Army achievement medal and four Army commendation medals.

’11 Carl Gustavson (B), of Appleton, is an assistant at The Hang Up Gallery in Neenah. Gustavson is currently pursuing an automated manufacturing systems degree.

’12 Amy Balza (EHS), of Appleton, works in the member benefits department at Thrivent Financial. Balza and husband, Tony Balza, have one son.

’12 Kristen Nyholm (MSE), of La Crosse, is an academic advisor at Viterbo University.

’17 Maranda Abitz (MSE), of Fond du Lac, is the assistant registrar for Marian University. Abitz is also an advisor for the Reserve Officer Training Corp (ROTC) and the Student Veterans Association.

’17 Claire Decker (LS), of Eagle River, is an officer in the Rhinelander Police Department.

’17 Madeline (Hamburg) Hodgson (LS), of Oshkosh, recently married Dustin Hodgson.  Madeline is a radiologic technologist at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center in Neenah.

’17 Karlye (Wehner) Krien (MSE), of Burlington, is a licensed professional counselor and phase one brainspotting practitioner with Clinical Psychology Associates.

’18 Alyssa Bredeson (N), of McFarland, is an inpatient cardiac nurse at SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital-Madison.

’18 Morgan Szarfinski Clark (LS), of Eugene, Oregon, is pursuing a master’s degree in Social Work. Szarfinski is a substance abuse counselor with Emergence Addictions & Behavioral Therapies.

’19 Cole Lehnherr (LS), of San Antonio, Texas, graduated from U.S. Air Force basic military training.

Lou and Pat Mahron

’61 Lou Marohn (EHS) and ’62 Pat (Long) Marohn (EHS), of Glenview, Illinois, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.

’64 Patricia (Oaks) Jungers (EHS), of Waupaca, is a retired teacher. Jungers’ granddaughter, a member of the Titan women’s rugby team, graduated from UWO in December, 2019.

’69 James Ross (B), of The Woodlands, Texas, enjoys playing golf, traveling the world, and spending quality time with his eight grandchildren in retirement.

’73 Richard “Dick” Adam (LS), of Madison, retired after 44 years in supply chain management. Adam enjoys spending time with his granddaughter and officiating high school sports. Adam was inducted into the Madison East High School Athletic Hall of Fame for his fundraising work with the Booster Club.

’73 Brad Thurman (EHS), of Milwaukee, owns the Coffee Makes You Black coffee shop featuring African art and images of black musicians and sports heroes. Thurman was formerly a 16-year firefighter with the Milwaukee Fire Department.

’74 Ronald Morken (LS), of Oregon, retired in July as vice president at Transportation Consultants Inc.

’74 Craig Starkweather (EHS), of Wild Rose, retired from teaching and then worked in insurance and supervised Red Cross volunteers in three counties.

’75 Patrick Pazdernik (LS) and ’76 (EHS) and ’81 (MS), of Jamestown, North Carolina, retired after 30 years with Kimberly-Clark, most recently as director of global business development. Pazdernik is a part-time adjunct marketing professor at High Point University.

’77 Brenda (Anderson) Mueller (LS) and ’80 (MS), of Merrill, enjoys traveling with her husband in retirement. Mueller recently welcomed a new grandson, Ashton.

’80 Randal Kreienbrink (LS), of Santa Ana, California, is vice president of marketing at Martin Bauer Group.

’80 James Stadtmueller (LS), of Neenah, is a 20-year purchasing and transportation manager with Badger Plug Company, a producer of industrial packaging solutions.

’81 Jane (Anderson) Handler (N), of Green Bay, passed away last February. Her husband, Christopher Handler, built a Little Free Library at their home as a memorial to her.

’81 Dennis Raabe (MS), of Plover, is the interim superintendent of the Fall River School District. Raabe has over 40 years of public education experience.

’84 Chris Geiger (EHS), of Carrollton, Georgia, retired as director of the Center for Student Involvement at the University of West Georgia.

’86 John Stoeger (B) and ’91 Cindy (Vandenboogard) Stoeger (B), of Appleton, have been married since 1991. The Stoeger’s have four children, three of whom either graduated from or are attending UW Oshkosh. John is a partner at Stoeger & Associates, LLC, a real estate investment and management company.

’87 John Morelli (LS), of Oshkosh, is the vice president of CORRIM Company, LLC.

’88 Mark Bohn (LS), of Omro, is in his 31st year of teaching high school social studies.

’89 Sheri (Theisen) Amidon (LS), of Campbellsport, celebrated 30 years of employment with EP-Direct. Amidon is the executive vice president and oversees administrative, financial and human resource facets of the company. Amidon also serves on the UW Oshkosh Alumni Board of Directors.

Mohd Yaziz Bin Mohd Isa

’89 Mohn Yaziz Mohd Isa (MBA), of Batu Caves, Selangor, Malaysia, received the First Global Waqf Award for academic achievements from the Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia. He serves ad Dean at the Universiti Tun Abdul Razak.

’89 Timothy Hiers (LS) and ’05 (MPA), of Milton, retired from the Janesville Police Department after over 30 years of service.

’89 Mark Putzke (LS), of Berlin, chief deputy with Green Lake County, is retiring after a 32-year career in law enforcement.

’90 Mark Bloedow (EHS), of Madison, is the director of The Ringing Badgers Handbell Ensemble. Bloedow is also an assistant professor of music at Concordia University Wisconsin, the executive/artistic director of Maestro Productions, Inc., and music director at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Madison.

’91 Jeff Bulinski (B), of Phoenix, Arizona, held his annual Christmas lights display with over 63,000 lights on his house and 9,000 lights on a tunnel. Bulinski is the vice president of Graebel.

’91 Brian Laird (B) and ’99 (MBA), of Naperville, Illinois, is a senior manager in the global corporate strategy group for Molson Coors.

’95 Stacy (Braun) Lucht (EHS) and ’99 (MSE), of Wausau, has worked in advertising and marketing for Midwest Communications for 22 years. Lucht and her husband, ’93 Brett Lucht (B) and (LS), have a daughter who is currently attending UWO.

’94 Jackie (Garoville) Kujawa (N), of Oshkosh, an employee health nurse/specialist with Aurora Medical Center, has been married to ’93 Christopher Kujawa (EHS) for 25 years. The Kujawa’s have two sons.

’94 Michelle Rippe (LS), of Phoenix, Arizona, is a speech therapist in the Washington Elementary School District. Rippe earned a master’s degree in Educational Guidance Counseling in 1997 and has lived in Arizona since 1994.

’94 Jeff Schneider (LS), of Oshkosh, is the new CEO of the Oshkosh Community YMCA. Schneider has 30 years of experience working at YMCAs as the Oshkosh branch senior vice president and the 20th Avenue Y branch executive.

’94 Daniel Truttschel (LS), of Mount Pleasant, a sports journalist in the Southern Lakes region, has lost over 200 pounds during the past year. Truttschel is documenting his journey through weight loss in hopes of writing a book and plans to go skydiving as a reward to himself.

’95 Bridget (Moericke) Richter (LS), of Iola, is a legal assistant with Waupaca County. Richter has 22 years of experience in law enforcement.

’96 Jennifer Eisenbart (LS), of Aitkin, Minnesota, is the editor of the Aitkin Independent Age. Eisenbart has been in newspaper journalism for over 20 years, most recently as the lifestyles and special sections editor at the Daily Jefferson County Union in Fort Atkinson.

’97 Marcia Teal (B) and ’08 (MBA), of Oshkosh, is a managing partner at Teal Consulting Group, LLC where she prepares business valuations and forensic analysis. Teal is now a Florida snowbird.

’98 Stephanie (Ecker) Adamietz (B), of Chilton, is a business education teacher with the Stockbridge School District. Adamietz will graduate with a master’s degree in education in spring.

’02 Kristine Schoonover (MS), of Hartland, received the Friends of the Golf Course Owners of Wisconsin Award. Schoonover is an associate professor in the golf enterprise program at UW-Stout.

’04 Teri Grossheim (LS), of Chicago, Illinois, received an industry Business-to-Business (B2B) Award for her engineering work while she was an engineer at CDW. Grossheim recently completed her Masters of Business Administration (MBA) in Information Systems from DePaul University.

’05 Joshua Kiecker (LS), of Fremont, is celebrating his 15 years with J. J. Keller & Associates, Inc. where he is a search engine marketing analyst.

’06 Becky Bender (EHS), of Cambria, is an early learning teacher with the Rio Community School District. Bender and her colleague developed Project Wild Child to allow students to connect with nature and learn through play, spending every Monday in the school forest. Project Wild Child received the NBC 15 Making a Difference Award.

’06 Kristina Meilahn (LS), of Campbellsport, was promoted to lieutenant and detective with the Fond du Lac Police Department. Meilahn is currently the school resource officer at Fond du Lac High School.

’07 Victoria (Ebben) Svitavsky (EHS), of Waupun, is a teacher with the Department of Corrections. Svitavsky is interested in the topic of white privilege.

’08 Lucas Brown (MBA), of Sturgeon Bay, is assistant vice president and fundraising campaign director at Lawrence University.

’09 Rachel (Salzsieder) Cohen (N), of Suamico, has worked in the nursing field since graduation as a staff nurse on the float team at Bellin Hospital as well as private duty nursing through the State of Wisconsin.

’09 Eric Ryer (MPA), of Port Washington, is the interim town administrator in Cedarburg where he has been an assistant administrator for five years.

’12 Crystal Dziadosz Brown (LS), of Cudahy, is a production artist at Custom Print and Stitch, a contract screen print and embroidery shop. Brown and her husband welcomed twins in October.

’12 Amy Clark (N) and ’17 (DNP), of Sheboygan, is a palliative care nurse practitioner at the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice.

’13 Ryan Kempf (LS) and ’14 Theresa (Henke) Kempf (LS), of Johnson Creek, met in 2012 at a UWO Science Club event. The Kempfs have been married since 2015 and have two children.

Michael Bramann

’14 Michael Bramann (B), of Marina del Rey, California, is an analyst with Capital Forensics, Inc., working on cases involving fraud and compliance as well as business development and marketing. Bramann, along with friends from UW Oshkosh, started a nutrition company called MCTco which sells keto-friendly nutrition bars.

’14 Jenell Riesner (B), of San Luis Obispo, California, is launching season 3 of the wellness podcast, The True North Collective, which showcases candid conversations on wellness.

’14 Ben Sanderfoot (EHS), of Oshkosh, became the third ever two-time bone marrow donor to two separate recipients, inspired by the Be the Match event while he was a student at UWO.

’15 Anne (Coleman) Jensen (EHS), of Menasha, married Scott Jensen in August with a reception at the UW Oshkosh Culver Family Welcome Center. Jensen is a math teacher at Winneconne Middle School.

’15 Kristin Redmann (LS), of Oshkosh, was promoted to a leadership position after four years as a medical technologist at Mercy Medical Center.

’16 Lee Dempsey (LS), of Clearfield, Utah, works in customer supply chain support for Fastenal.

Joanna Guza

’16 Joanna (Wavrunek) Guza (LS), of Denmark, and her husband Brian welcomed their first baby in October. Joanna is a marketing and digital communications manager with the Dairy Business Association. The Guzas have also started farming garlic.

’16 Emily Mallek (EHS), of Plover, is the athletic director for McDonell Area Catholic Schools.

’16 Megan (Rimkus) Resch (B) and ’16 Bryan Resch (LS), of Wauwatosa, were married in September.

’16 Evan Schultz (LS), of Monticello, is a senior in the Blackhawk Technical College radiography program.

’16 JuliAnn Stanis (N), of Portland, Oregon, is a registered nurse at Oregon Health and Science University. Stanis obtained certifications in maternal newborn nursing and is an internationally certified lactation consultant.

’16 Christina (Gorchynsky) Trapani (LS), of Milwaukee, received her master’s degree in Digital Communication Strategies at Marquette University as well as the Dean’s Recognition Award for Outstanding Graduate Assistant. Trapani, was married in September and is a marketing team leader at Amla Commerce, a global computer software company.

’17 Kelsey (Bergum) Croker (N), of Eagle River, is a registered nurse in the emergency department at Howard Young Medical Center.

’17 Jamie Hines (N), of Milton, is manager of the medical floor at Mercyhealth Hospital and Trauma Center in Janesville.

’17 Justine Whitman (B), of Menasha, is an associate underwriter for Integrity Insurance in Appleton.

’18 Brittney Klingler (N), of Janesville, is a registered nurse with Mercy Health System.

’19 Madeline Bartels (LS), of Monticello, is completing a master’s degree in school psychology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

’19 Rajon Lynch (LS), of Appleton, is the director of the Houdini Museum of New York. Lynch is a 23-year-old magician who has performed his dinner-show program, Now Serving Magic, at the History Museum at the Castle and Houdini’s Escape Gastropub in Appleton and the Time Community Theater in Oshkosh.

’19 Brett Wittchow (B), of Olpe, Germany, plays professional basketball with European team TVO Biggesee. Wittchow was a member of the 2019 Titan men’s basketball national championship team.

’20 Malinda Arneson (EHS), of Kimberly, is a volunteer for the Girl Scouts of the Northwestern Great Lakes.

’80 Suzanne (Aldrich) Banks (N), of Muskego, is a registered nurse in clinical informatics at Advocate Aurora Health Care. Banks teaches and supports Epic and its many applications within the Advocate Health system.

’89 Katherine (Herbert) Manthey (B), of Appleton, received the Fox Cities Chamber of Commerce Shining Star Excellence in Higher Education Award. Manthey is the Insurance and Risk Program director at UW Oshkosh.

’90 Lori (Christianson) Allen (EHS), of Sturgeon Bay, is the executive director of Door County Habitat for Humanity. Allen is the former director of Pathway to Living, Unity Hospice and Volunteer Guardian.

’90 Nancy (Petersik) Hintz (MS), of Green Lake, is director of development for Green Lake Association (GLA). Hintz previously led the Western Great Lakes Bird and Bat Observatory’s development program and worked in the Ripon College advancement department.

’93 Christopher Powless (LS), of Oneida, is a multimedia specialist with the Oneida Nation Tourism Department. Powless has worked for the Tribe for 35 years.

’94 John Scheelk (LS), of Oshkosh, will be speaking at the annual Mensa gathering in Brno Czechia this summer. Scheelk will discuss the age of members in Mensa and other high IQ societies and how to recruit younger members.

’95 Danielle Berube-Milan (LS), of Houston, Texas, is a program manager with Hewlett Packard where she has worked for 20 years.

’95 Brian Borchardt (LS) and ’02 (EHS), of Neenah, received the Fox Cities Chamber of Commerce Shining Star Excellence in Student Services Award. Borchardt is a National Educational Alliance for Technology (NEAT) teacher at Neenah High School.

’95 Ann (Ryan) Steck (N), of Waunakee, is a clinical territory manager for Medtronic, a global medical device company. Steck trains diabetic patients how to use the Medtronic insulin pump and sensor.

’96 Jason Fridley (EHS) and ’01 (MSE), of Fond du Lac, received the Fox Cities Chamber of Commerce Shining Star Inclusive Excellence in Education Award. Fridley is an emotional behavior disorder (EBD) teacher at Horace Mann Middle School in Neenah.

’96 Victoria Simon (LS), of Grafton, is in her seventh year as pastor at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Cedarburg.

’97 Monica Allaback (LS), of Appleton, received the Fox Cities Chamber of Commerce Shining Star Excellence in Special Education Award. Allaback is employed by Valley Packaging Industries.

’97 Linda Stoikes (MSN), of Mineral Point, is retired and works part time with the military.

’97 Thomas Swigert (LS), of Hartford, is a senior product manager for Hearst Television, overseeing 26 stations across the United States. Swigert joined Hearst Television in 2011 as director of digital media for WISN 12 in Milwaukee.

’98 Gini Hendrickson (LS), of Fitchburg, is a senior attorney with Davis|Kuelthau, S.C.

’98 Tricia Konyn-Hurley (LS), of Peshtigo, is the advertising sales and marketing manager for the Marinette EagleHearld. Hurley has worked in the marketing and communications field for 22 years.

’98 Shad Young (N), of Jackson, is a manager of clinical informatics at Advocate Aurora Health Care. Young is excited and proud to have his stepson attend UW Oshkosh as he will be a third generation Titan. Young’s mother is also a UWO alumna.

’00 Greg Simons (LS), of West Allis, is a suicide prevention psychologist and LGBT veteran care coordinator at Zablocki VA Medical Center.

’01 Ryan Thompson (B), of Appleton, is a business consultant with Appleton Business Consulting. Thompson and his wife, Katie, have four children.

’02 Margaret Patton (EHS), of Fond du Lac, retired after 30 years in the Fond du Lac School District.

’04 Joshua Marquardt (LS), of Oshkosh, owns Art City Wraps, a company focused on using large format printing and design to manufacture and install massive graphics on multiple surfaces, including projects for Super Bowl 53 and 54 and Universal Studios.

’06 Rebecca (Tesch) Kikkert (LS), of Beaver Dam, is the director of the Office of Special Initiatives for the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development. Kikkert has led the coordination of job centers within the Wisconsin State Correctional System.

’06 Aaron Walczak (LS) and ’08 (LS), of Port Washington, is a banker with First Citizens Bank in Milwaukee.

’07 Jill Puhlmann-Becker (MSE), of Ripon, is a reading specialist and Title 1 coordinator for the Ripon Area School District.

’07 Maniyan Pyawasay (LS), of Shawano, is the director of the Menominee Tribal Conservation Department.

’07 Lukas Steiner (LS), of Potosi, was appointed by Governor Tony Evers to serve as the Crawford County District Attorney. Steiner was previously an associate with the Law Offices of McNamara, Reinicke, Vogelsberg and Helmke.

’08 Julie (Hunholz) Noller (EHS), of Muskego, is a teacher at Country Dale Elementary School in the Franklin Public School District. Noller is married with two children.

‘10 Tony Goebel (B), of Eldorado, received the 2020 Employee Benefits Adviser (EBA) Magazine’s Rising Stars in Advising Award. Goebel, CEO of 5G Benefits, LLC since 2013, is recognized as a leader who makes a difference in the benefits industry through innovative and creative ideas on wellness, healthcare, and new benefits offerings.

’10 Wendy Van Ahn (LS), of Oshkosh, will celebrate her five-year employment anniversary at University and Books & More on the UW Oshkosh campus.

’11 Ia Thao (EHS) and ’11 Tou Lor (B), of Oshkosh, are married with two children. Thao is a case manager for Community Care, Inc. in Appleton.

’13 Matt Hanson (EHS), of Rock Springs, Wyoming, is a counselor at Eastside Elementary School. Hanson is an avid participant in high endurance “mudding” competitions including several World’s Toughest Mudders.

’13 Kathryn (Ayer) Parish (EHS), of Menasha, is in her sixth year of teaching third grade in the Menasha Joint School District.

’14 Elizabeth Bannenberg (LS), of Neenah, is celebrating her sixth year as a Titan alumni employee. Bannenberg is an information systems specialist at UW Oshkosh.

’14 Katrina “Katie” Kovacs (LS), of Black Creek, is a reporter for the Seymour Times Press.

’15 Caitlin Hallada (LS), of Milwaukee, is a campus recruiter with Baird. She recently purchased her first home and adopted a puppy.

’18 Sheena Gilbert (LS), of Boise, Idaho, is earning a Master of Arts Degree in Criminal Justice at Boise State University. Gilbert intends to continue her education to earn a Doctorate in Criminology.

’18 Jeremy Rivard (B), of Appleton, is married to ’19 Alexys Christian (B). Rivard has been a financial representative with Modern Woodmen of America since his UW Oshkosh internship. ’64 Stephen Thompson (EHS), of Copley, Ohio, is a professor emeritus in the University of Akron’s College of Education. Thompson is leading a book club, volunteering as hospice visitor, working on a community garden, and singing in a hospitality choir. He enjoys traveling and spending time with his seven grandchildren.

’83 Barry Martzahl (B), of Green Bay, managing director of wealth management and institutional consulting director for Graystone Consulting, was named to Forbes magazine’s 2020 Best in-State Wealth Advisors.

’87 Frank Van Alstine (LS), of Merrill, retired from full-time teaching and substitutes in the Merrill Area Public Schools.

’93 Lisa (Wolfgram) Philipp (LS), of Oshkosh, is an image assembly operator and graphic artist at RR Donnelley. Philipp and her husband, Paul, love to travel and plan to attend Octoberfest in Germany this fall.

’99 Jammie Dennin (LS), of Oshkosh, celebrated 15 years as a senior claims examiner with Thrivent Financial.

’00 Timothy Eiring (B), of Oconomowoc, is CEO of Centare, a development and technology consulting firm. Eiring was formerly the vice president of Centare’s Madison office and has been with the company since 2003.

’00 Kelly (Horkan) Clussman (LS), of Appleton, is the vice president of marketing at Unison Credit Union. Clussman was formerly the 12-year executive director of the Heart of the Valley Chamber of Commerce.

’01 Jeffrey Coyle (LS), of Bend, Oregon, is the corporate director of food and beverage at Oxford Collection. Coyle oversees 16 hotel food and beverage operations in Oregon, Washington, Idaho and California.

’04 Jennifer (Goyke) Johnson (EHS) and ’06 (MSE), of Waupun, a teacher for 16 years, is a special education instructional coach with the Fond du Lac School District. Johnson and husband ’11 Jeremiah Johnson (EHS) met in Donner Hall and have two children.

’04 Heather Wegner (EHS), of Brandon, has been the director at Spillman Public Library in North Fond du Lac for 12 years.

’05 Holly (Gerstner) Norris (LS), of Pleasant Prairie, is the head athletic trainer for the U.S. Navy. Norris had her first child in December.

‘07 Derek O’Connell (LS), of Kenosha, is a dentist at Fahey & O’Connell Family Dentistry and Orthodontics. O’Connell formerly served his country as a general dentist with the U.S. Army.

’11 Deseray Aguirre (LS), of Quincy, Illinois, is a fourth-year medical student at A.T. Still University, Kirksville, Missouri (ATSU-KCOM) where she will graduate with a Doctorate in Osteopathic Medicine in May.

‘11 Heather Barkholtz (LS), of Sun Prairie, is a chemical testing section chief with the Wisconsin State Patrol.

’11 Katelyn (Vroman) Spanbauer (B), of Omro, is a human resources generalist for SMC Metal Fabricators. Spanbauer also coaches high school volleyball in Oshkosh and is the president of the Oshkosh Area Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) chapter.

’11 Natalee (Kasmiskie) Stafford (EHS), of Indianapolis, Indiana, is the director of volunteer services at Wheeler Mission, Indiana’s largest homeless shelter.

’13 Dana Wielgus (EHS), of Lille, France, is an English literature and language teacher at Ecole Jeannine Manuel in Marcq-en-Baroeul. Wielgus moved abroad in 2013 to teach with the Teaching Assistant Program in France (TAPIF).

‘15 Pamela Berg (MS), of Peshtigo, was a finalist for the 2020 Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction’s Principal of the Year Award. Berg is the 5K-12 principal in the Suring School District.

’16 Courtney (Harrington) Martin (LS), of Saginaw, Texas, graduated with a master’s degree in occupational therapy from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. Martin works with individuals who are recovering from acquired brain injuries at Pate Rehabilitation.

’17 Alexandra Licari (LS), of Madison, is a social worker for the 4K program in the Janesville School District. Licari earned a master’s degree in social work from the University of Wisconsin.

’69 Kristin (Williams) Gramando (EHS), of Arizona City, Arizona, received the 2018-2019 Toastmaster of the Year Award in the State of Arizona. Gramando has been a member for 18 years and currently belongs to seven clubs. She has chartered twelve clubs and achieved the highest level in Toastmasters, Distinguished Toastmaster, three times.

Robert Meisel

’69 Robert Meisel (LS), of Alpine, California, is retired from the U.S. Naval Reserve and his private optometry practice. Meisel has performed volunteer vision services around the globe, including clinics in Albania, Kenya, Serbia and more. He received the 2019 Optometrist of the Year Award from the San Diego County Optometric Society.

’72 Tom Davis (EHS), of Sturgeon Bay, received the 2019 Edna Ferber Fiction Book Award for his historical novel, In the Unsettled Homeland of Dreams. The book tells the story of a black community that settled on Washington Island in the 1850s.

’73 Daniel Krhin (LS), of Oshkosh, is the executive director of student support services at Ripon College. Krhin’s work focuses on helping first-generation, lower income and other challenged or disadvantaged students have a successful college experience. Krhin is married to ’85 Myra Misles-Krhin (MS).

’74 Craig Starkweather (EHS), of Wild Rose, retired in 2009 as community development specialist for the Red Cross of Waushara, Green Lake and Marquette Counties. Starkweather has former experience in teaching, insurance sales, directing a religious youth camp and serving as a volunteer vice president of Habitat for Humanity of Waushara County.

’75 Wendy Krueger (EHS), of West Hollywood, California, is the director of room sales for the h Club. Krueger retired from the hospitality industry a year ago but has returned as a consultant.

’77 Janet Alley (EHS), of Elkhorn, retired from computer programming. Alley is a substitute teacher and is working for the census this summer.

’82 Bill Kaemmer (EHS), of Washington D.C., is the executive director of Four Chaplains Memorial Foundation.

’84 Joye Moon (LS), of Oshkosh, has conducted 200 watercolor workshops across the U.S. and presented to 36 international group trips. Moon’s work will appear at the National Watercolor Society’s 50 Stars Exhibit in California. Joye is married to ’72 David Moon (EHS).

’92 Tami (Cook) Dever (LS), of Austin, Texas, is the owner of TLC Book Design. Dever released her second book, I Like Big Books and I Cannot Lie, full of ‘70s and ‘80s music and book trivia.

’92 Koreen (Riemer) Frisk (N), of New Lisbon, is in her 15th year as a nurse in corrections. Frisk also keeps busy on the family farm where they milk 100 dairy cows, raise 150 heifers, 150 steer, 40 beef cows and grow 700 acres of soybeans, corn and hay.

’00 Bonnie Nickasch (N), ’06 (MSN) and ’14 (DNP), of Oshkosh, is the recipient of the 2020 American Association of Nurse Practitioners Wisconsin State Award for Nurse Practitioner Excellence. Nickasch is an associate professor, director of the Post Licensure Program, and assistant dean of the UW Oshkosh College of Nursing.

’01 Donald King (B), of Cumming, Georgia, is a global network manager at Owens and Minor.

’02 Josh Springer (EHS), of Matthews, North Carolina, is the head girls’ basketball coach at Providence Day School, a K-12 college-prep school in Charlotte. In Springer’s 13 years as coach, the Chargers have won ten North Carolina Independent Schools Athletic Association AAA girls basketball state championships. He earned his 300th win in 2019 and was named the Charlotte Observer’s North Carolina Coach of the Decade.

’03 Sheria (Grice) Robinson-Lane (N), of Livonia, Michigan, is an assistant professor at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.

Allan Stocking

’04 Allan Stockinger (LS), of Evansville, Illinois, is a formulation chemist with Inotiv. Stockinger completed his first half marathon trail race placing third with a time of 1 hour and 50 minutes. He has completed nine half marathons and has a 2020 goal of completing his first full marathon in under four hours.

’04 Rebekah (Feiertag) Wolff (LS), of West Bend, is a licensed professional counselor for the Slinger School District and Kettle Moraine Counseling. Wolff is also a 10-year breast cancer survivor.

’05 Clint Carlson (LS), of Istanbul, Turkey, has accepted the program manager of digital education and academic technology position at Colorado University. Carlson was formerly the director of education at the Istanbul International Community School.

’06 Kevin Damask (LS), of Sun Prairie, is the weeklies editor for Capital Newspapers-North. Damask will manage the Wisconsin Dells Events, Juneau County Star-Times, Reedsburg Times-Press and Sauk Prairie Eagle. He has earned seven awards from the Wisconsin Newspaper Association for excellence in writing and reporting.

’07 Blake Hildahl (LS), of the Fox Cities, is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon with Hand to Shoulder Center of Wisconsin.

’12 Joel Meier (LS), of Milwaukee, retired as the City of West Allis firefighter captain in 2017. Meier is a part-time firefighting instructor at a local technical college and inspector for Fire Safety Consultants, Inc.

’16 James McMahon (OCE), of Woodbridge, Virginia, is a technician with the District of Columbia Fire and Emergency Medical Services Department. Following the COVID-19 outbreak, McMahon was moved to the incident management team under the district’s Department of Human Services.

’17 Mallory Langkau (EHS), of Groveton, New Hampshire, is a high school social studies teacher at Northumberland School District. Langkau received the 2020 James Madison Memorial Fellowship, awarded to individuals desiring to become outstanding teachers of the American Constitution at the secondary education level. The program pays for a master’s degree and includes attendance at a 4-week Summer Institute on the Constitution in Washington D.C.

’53 Richard J. Smith (EHS), of Bradenton, Florida, published his fourth book, Tales from a Twilight House, about the benefits of living in a continuing care retirement community. The book’s poems and stories are a compilation of earlier writings in resident newsletters, stories about how society has changed, and reflections on relationships.

She graduated from the Medical College of Wisconsin in 1992 and attended residency at the Marshfield Clinic serving as chief resident her last year. Her youngest son is a medical student in St. Louis.

’80 Ben Whitehouse (BS), of Elizabethtown, Kentucky is retired and moved to Kentucky to escape the Wisconsin winters.

’87 Jeff Griffith (LS), of Eden Prairie, Minnesota, completed an editorial project for Hallowed Ground, the membership magazine for the American Battlefield Trust. The issue is about war photographers and the imagery they provide to accompany journalism.

’89 Jeffrey Olm (LS), of Highland, is a director, postproduction supervisor and colorist with Perfect Pictures, LLC. He is directing multiple Wisconsin-based projects in production including “Farm State” a documentary on the current farm situation in the Midwest.

’89 Paul Weisse (LS), of Appleton, was hired as the principal at Prairie de Chien High School. He was formerly an associate principal at Appleton East High School.

’92 David Penepent (LS), of Norwood, New York, is an associate professor of mortuary science and director of the funeral services administration program at the State University of New York at Canton. Penepent and his students started operation Hands with A Heart. They traveled to New York City to transport deceased COVID-19 patients to crematories in surrounding states in attempt to return remains to families in a timely manner.

’93 Kevin Brown (LS), of Yakima, Washington, is the shipping supervisor at Permobil, a manual wheelchair manufacturer in Pasco.

’94 Chris Rathsack (BBA) of Bixby, Oklahoma, is a senior director with US Cellular in Tulsa.

’96 Nicole (Jacquart) Horton (BSN), of Deforest, is a registered nurse with UW Hospital.

’98 Michelle (Borgwardt) Craft (BA), of Scottsdale, Arizona, is the communications quality administrator at Vanguard in Scottsdale.

’99 & MBA ’07 Barbara Beuscher (BA), of Fairview, Pennsylvania, is vice president of advancement at Gannon University in Erie.

’05 Melissa Hunt (BS), of Madison, is the municipal services director for Vierbicher Associates, a planning and engineering firm.

’06 Jake Weigel (AS), of Modesto, California, is a tenured associate professor of art and sculpture at California State University, Stanislaus.

’07 Tammy Casper (BFA), of Mayville, is a production manager and graphic designer for the Dodge County Pioneer.

’11 Ashley Peplinski (BS), of Morrisonville, is clinic director/chiropractor at Chiro One of Madison West.

’12 Laura Wirth (MSE), of Pickett, is a fourth grade teacher in the Omro School District.

’13 Holden Gerner (BS), of Waupun, is an area manager with Wal-Mart Supply Chain in Beaver Dam.

’13 Sadie Parafiniuk (MPA), of Pickett, is the president and CEO of Envision Greater Fond du Lac. Parafiniuk currently serves as deputy district director for Congressman Glenn Grothman.

‘13 Madeline (Meis) Suess (BA), of Arlington, Virginia, is senior monitoring and evaluation associate for DevTech Systems, Inc. She is married to alumnus Tim Suess ’12 (BBA) who was her Model UN/OSA teammate.

’15 Kyle Ellefson (MPA), of Johnson Creek, is the new city administrator of Columbus.

’15 Joel Hansen (MBA), of De Pere, was named to the Greater Green Bay Chamber’s economic development board. He oversees all support services at Pomp’s Tire Service, including accounting, human resources and information technology.

’16 CJ Dwyer (BS), of Neenah, is the sports and recreation coordinator at the YMCA of the Fox Cities.

’17 Kara Atwood (BSW), of Des Plaines, Illinois, works for Moorings of Arlington Heights in social services.

’17 Rose Filipiak (BSN), of Oshkosh, is an ICU Registered Nurse and RRT at Ascension Mercy Hospital in Oshkosh.
